  1. Can't stand it. First the shoddy workmanship and secondly the contrived drama.
  2. Are the lifters new? As said they can take some time to reach pressure, for me it was a good 20 minutes.

    Wanted corrado

    I have this.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/253422022331?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  4. Looking to re home this little project / donor car if anyone is interested. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/253422022331?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  5. My G60 is on ebay now if it is of interest to anyone. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/253422022331?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  6. The P heads are common, well as common as they can be. Good heads still fetch £150-200 a piece.
  7. The difference between the 'P' and the 'A' is merely the size of both the inlet and exhaust ports. P is larger port and A is small.
  8. If it's a completely standard charger, and your not planning on using a smaller pulley or upgraded chip, then I wouldn't bother with the porting.
  9. No problem. Will be in January sometime. I bought it for the suspension, power steering pipes and a couple of other parts but it still rolls and runs and drives. It is a serious project though.
  10. I'll have a running 1992 G60 project up for sale soon. I'm in central Scotland though.
  11. All G60's come with a cat fitted however without it your really need a twin silencer system to keep it at reasonable noise. I've just fitted a powerflow on mine and it sounds fine.
  12. I got a braided clutch line from them a couple of month ago and the quality was superb and only £30.
  13. Indicating far too soon for a start so the taxi driver would have assumed he would have been turning left there if they'd seen him.
  14. Probably doesn't help, but I have one removed from a K plate Mk3 Golf VR6 with ABS. Will try find out if it's the same. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/253254032829?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  15. After 25 years the carbon canister is next to useless anyway.
  16. It's common on VW's for one or 2 of the unions to be larger on the ABS pumps. I'm not sure why but I have encountered it a few times over the years. Not sure if you can get a converter union, you may need to replace the union on the pipe with a 12mm.
  17. Basically there are two pipes that go the the throttle body (large and small) and and another on the front of the inlet manifold plumbed into the servo vacuum pipe than need removed and blanked off. The easiest way would be to cut small sections off the original CC pipework and block them with suitable sized bolts. There is also a breather pipe coming from the fuel tank which needs to breath. Some put a little filter on it and route it underneath the airbox. Theoretically it could be plumbed into the bottom of the airbox too and just recirculated that way. There was an diagram floating about the web for it but can't seem to find it now. Probably lost with all the rest of the photobucket images I assume.

    no insurance

Yes all vehicles must be insured unless they are declared SORN.
  19. At least is wasn't a Corrado, that's the main thing.
  20. I'd laugh at any police officer who tried to stick that on me. Wouldn't have even accepted the ticket.
  21. These idiots can put you in the jail for not paying the licence, where ironically you could watch Cash in the Attic with a sex offender, or any other inmate of your choice, for free.
  22. Nobody should be paying a tv licience in the UK. Most of it goes straight to the BBC, a corporation.
  23. Received today Si, and dropped you a PM. Many thanks for speedy delivery.
