My genuine ones are a tight fit on the mcgard locking bolts. I can measure the head of the bolt or inner of the cap if it helps
-
Found my receipt. 535 601 173C wheel bolt cap

Those badges are definitely worth the extra thousands  I'm just jealous as I dont have them and people point at me as I walk down the street..
-
That's not a grin, it was fear being in your car Shaun.

I do have the latest Webasto brochure somewhere. I'll dig it out and check against mine that is off the car. I remember looking at it b4 and thinking some looked similar, but didn't go too deep into it

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F333411679833 Just seen that on ebay. Far cheaper than the Schrick and something different. Be nice to see it on an engine

I've got Mcgard locking wheels nuts and was surprised that they did fit. The other caps are from Heritage for the standard genuine covers

I got those last month from Heritage/classic, so definitely available still

What 80's - 90s cars for sale have caught your eye recently.

Totally agree with you about both interiors. As far as I was aware, the UK mk3 only had the shocking chequered one. -

I had the Ed30 for a couple of years. If it wasnt for an expensive divorce i would still have it. Great car. Nose heavy, well planted and stuck to the road. Brilliant with the DSG box and launch control. The flappy paddles were always fun. I love my project VR in the garage, but still hang my nose over the Ed30. I went out in a friends R32, nice inside but lacks the character of the GTi for me -
Damn that all looks good.Geeba might do a bit more with his gorgeous engine now Sooo jealous, well done mate, big commitment and awesome

Always nice to see the Corrado getting some recognition. Good find mate

I've only seen a place in France lately, that sells the vr6 rad, it wasnt cheap. I know others have been asking before. I'll look for my Hella part no. And post it up if it helps

To be fair he replied a month ago to me when I mentioned a spam issue. Hopefully he will reply to us all with this thread

Well I never....... mine is fitted by a bracket onto the front of the condensor, where I thought they were all fitted.! The front end of my car is off whilst I sort this 7month aircon issue.... Ive ordered the correct part today, same number as yours. I still worry if it will all work when put back together for its pressure test:dance:
-
HELLA 8FT351199-011 was the one I had on the car and is the perfect fit. I didn't realise that the one I quickly purchased ended in 31... my mistake in trying to prepare all the parts b4 fitting.
-
Got to be worth Classic doing a remake with these numbers
-
Delfinis38, how close were your compressor hose connections to the oil block on the engine ? As usually happens when changing Corrado parts.... my outlets of the new compressor are slap bang in the middle, whilst my old unit had them offset !!! Oh why oh why oh why. Doesn't help that the new pipe connections are chunkier, damn. And to top it off, I had bought the wrong receiver drier over a month ago.. double damn.. With luck I should,,,,,should get the evaporator back this week
-
Just looking at mine now 357 919 506 with two fuse positions. I think because it's a Diavia install on the RHD Corrados, their wiring us all that was needed. Mines a late VR. Dont know if the above info helps..

I will check tomorrow and post up

And, I managed to fall out with the guy that was making my pipes over some nuts that were left on !! and the £180 cost of them all. During this time I asked the aircon firm to make me some instead.... To be right with the first company I paid up but wasn't happy with my OCD.. Anyone want a complete replacement set of hoses??? My aircon firm actually made the hoses up during this time...... so i have ended up with two sets. With this set costing me more than double the first price, but they are nice and shinier. Christ this Corrado tax is expensive. Note to self, look for a different hobby

Further update.. I have sourced an evaporator that FITS in the box and has the correct size pipes. BUT the pipes do need altering to fit in the correct position. 225mm long x 210mm wide x 75mm deep. VW no. 1j2820024A for RHD, NRF part no. 36106 Hella 8fv-351210771. I bought this one as it was only £62 off Ebay, so I'm going to try it. This part has gone to my mate who manufactures trailers, in the hope he can sort the pipes. He said he could... but I am used to being let down on this. Watch this space..

So old SKOOL but an absolute brilliant suggestion. I would have one to keep with the Bentley Manual C'mon Toby, let us all know what you are thinking
