Your battery tray looks gorgeous. Mine did, then I covered it in waxoyl...for protection. Just a thought

Good luck with the new car and that search. There is a list on here that we are hoping to out to VW Classic in the hope of them being remanufactured. Get your name on it, but ne prepared to wait..... if we are lucky

Hopefully a forum member can help with this. If not there is one for sale on Gumtree at the moment. North of the border though. Good luck

For that price I may just do the same

8vmatt has the led version which certainly looks original and works fine. As mentioned lots of time before on the forum, check the wiring to this... pull the switch out and have a good look at it. Some have put an inline fuse on the negative to prevent the risk of overheating- melting- fire. So most importantly, keep a 10mm spanner to hand in case you need to disconnect the battery leads sharpish. I hope that helps

Fla, I've pm'd you my details

EVAPORATOR update. The firm I went to do the 3d image decided they couldn't do it!! But would help me change the fittings if I got one similar. So....After days/weeks/months of looking at the internet and contacting people i thought i had found the perfect item. It was a Webasto/Diavia item and the measurements were perfect for fitting in the box. I asked the company to confirm these sizes as it is a special order Non returnable (WTF) £160 with parliament tax. As the specialist dealer all i got was, that's what the catalogue says. Desperation, i finally took the plunge. 4 weeks later after walking to here from Italy!! You guessed it, too bloody Big. WAN###S (Sorry)point to note:- measurements are approximate, really..4 whole centimetres longer. So, went to the local firm for altering things and he says " too busy, no can do " WAN###S ( anyone spot a theme here ) 6 months on with the Corrado high and lows and still no further on... I'm sure it won't beat me but I understand why people RIP IT OUT.. Breathe, breathe.. Next attempt is to get in touch with the Land of China to see if they can copy my original. And if so to get a few made. So a day off with man flu isn't wasted, as I start to learn Mandarin, for beginners. HELP..... Oh, for sale. 1 expensive oversized evaporator that will never fit a Corrado :bonk::dance::epicfail::epicfail:

Decided to clean the contacts on a switch of the recaro seat. Big mistake as I lost 2 of the very important insulated inner parts. Ahhhh. Oh well, a cut up yoghurt pot later and the identical part was reproduced and I have a fully working switch again. Oh a Wet Sunday afternoon at home.
-
GLWS mate, you made a beautiful car. And will definitely be missed as this forum will be quieter without you

I would turn myself upside down and get into the footwells. Remove the side trims and gain access to view where the Bowden's cables attach. Detach each one in turn and move things manually to see if all ok down there. Good luck, as mine was a broken cog, but was replaceable in situ

Unfortunately not our forum, but a Tom Keeling on the corrado facebook site is breaking an aqua blue corrado. He has a black leather interior for sale
-
Bit of a forum update:- Was nice to meet Mike today. After dismantling the bottom dash panels, removing the interior light joints and messing with the fusebox, we sorted it.. until we tried to start it and it would not start... aghh, luckily it was just a couple of plugs dropped out the rear of the fuse box. Always nice to keep a Corrado running

AUX WATER PUMP Set it to test for 12v DC. Put it across the two pins and with ignition on, you should get 12v if all is working fine, Hey presto
-
Have a good read of this thread, lots of useful ideas. When my 5A fuse was blowing, the cause of this was my aux. Water pump at the right hand side of the engine. Try unplugging this and see if the fault clears/ new fuse doesn't blow. These pumps don't last forever and can block with debris and failing main water pump plastic blade parts!! If the pump is in a short circuit condition whilst connected it will keep blowing the fuse. Worth a try, Good luck

Yes mate. I'll PM you my number

A beautiful ending and sounds like a good new home
