This thread is spinning me out I just had a whitie.

Sorry to change the subject but does any of the members own a R36 conversion on here, surely that is the holy grail of engine swaps for the corrado ?
-
To be fair Forum members main priority is to keep the Forum and knowledge alive, so if something positively adds to the survival of the site then surely that is a good thing. However we are the members not the owner of the Forum so it all depends what Toby the owner decides. Personally I would like to see an E copy or a Hardcopy of the Corrado Wiki to ensure a permanent template of knowledge.

You can order from classics through VW Heritage, cheap postage. 1H0 199 273D https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/en/catalog/product/view/id/21152/s/konsole-0ff0af/ This is why I love my golf Mk2 16v, for a new front engine mount bracket only £19.00. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-MK2-1-6-1-6D-1-8-GTI-ENGINE-MOUNT-BRACKET-FRONT-C829/190598258338?epid=1826289862&hash=item2c608a9ea2:g:QmYAAOSwhaBas3-U

On the part diagram it is showing no variation of the stock light loom. Loom is part number 535941951 and no 20 on diagram. http://www.oemepc.com/vw/part_single/catalog/vw/markt/USA/modell/COR/year/1995/drive_standart/76/hg_ug/941/subcategory/216000/part_id/3691897/lang/e#sec_20

Seen this as well and they are a great company but says not for USA cars . So there must be a difference in USA lights so you consider this in whatever you decide. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Cable-Harnes-for-Series-Headlight-VW-Corrado-2-0-16V-G60-VR6/223726467770?hash=item341722faba:g:VcoAAOSwn7JYEL9i

If it's based on rarity then my colour Magic Black is rarer in the Corrado then mystic blue and the Green, I'm sure other colours are rarer as well out there,my car came with leather, Solitudes are common as were also used on the Golf Mk3, Speedlines are more desirable to most, I can get my front grill sprayed but I prefer the matt black stock grill as does not look as garish, I can get a storm badge and stick it on my gear shift trim and same applies to the rear boot decal. Am I correct in saying they are the only differences in a Storm ? So is it fair to say they should of called it the Drizzle as it didn't really make a Storm

Holy light bulb that is expensive.

Nice one Cressa. I have purchased these off ebay as come with locking bolt caps so worth a shot at that price. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20x-17mm-Black-Wheel-Car-Locking-Nut-Bolt-Cover-Cap-for-VW-Golf-Nissan-Audi-Ford/153618832888?hash=item23c4655df8:g:F7oAAOSwyA1dqfh4 Update- received the above caps today and the locking ones did not fit !

To be honest it looks well made but it is not yet fitted and tested, it was purchased as a spare. I'm far from been knowledgeable about electrics to make a review, I would post some pictures on here for you guys to examine but unfortunately this site is not functioning to allow that.
-
Is a cool badge to be fair, can't believe VW dont use the branding anymore, as when any car person sees it they think wow that is special wonder what a Storm has different , sort of has a rare mythical tang to it.
-
Yeah the throttle is on the wrong side isn't it ? Where are all the electric bits that go with it says complete. maybe it doesn't have a piggy ecu.

Ok mate Ive had Mustangs, V8 Quattros and flat six Porsche's and the Golf Mk7 is one of the best all round performance cars I have ever owned, I dealt my old Mustang would keep up with her on the B roads. Cracking car. I was going to get the R but just the extra weight the GTI just flys down the lanes. What sort of R32 was you hoping to get with 6k would of been a bit of a shed a thet price. you need to spend at least 8k for a half decent one and more like the 10k- 14k mark, prices on these have gone up in recent times. 6k would be a bit of a project car I imagine if that is what your after? Credit to VW I know a lot of of folks touting it the best looking golf since the MK2 golf and I totally agree although MK2 golf big bumper is still my fav Golf by a long shot. -

If you can stretch it would go for a mk7 gti with performance pack , **** off a shovel and stick to the road like glue , stunning interior as well . You have a vr6 rado for the growl? I've put the idea to rest to be honest getting an r32 as too many classics are a bit stressful with storage and costs. -
Thanks Cressa, I have a aftermarket locking nut so I imagine it would not fit. Did you just get the cap of the lock nut as well from classics ?
-
The one that annoys me is the locking nut one . I ain't got one ha !
