This is so true - merc sl500 r129 I had few years back the bay had hardly been touched and it look mint- even the audi ones look really clean from the 80 B3/ B4 era. City powder coaters are cheap in Brum £160 a set. They do a factory silver option.

I would take another spare to as the last one has gone on the g60 and the one on the vr is getting on a bit cant think of the brand .
-
where did you get that light form obsolete for sure ha.
-
Its absolutely rampant out there its a good thing the kids are off school for a couple of weeks - seems like the jab is helping though as numbers seem low in hospital. My mate only 42 had it very bad none smoker in shape to be fair - was in hospital 3 days (double jabbed) - unfortunately some rats robbed his car and house at the same time .
-
Hmmm now you've got my mind thinking something familiar - these are not the e30 ones i believe - e30 is a great classic car as the parts are so readily available- BMW have a fantastic parts department - also Mercedes are damn good to. As you say though to use a Dremel its best to buy ready sorted off you.
-
Thanks mate I purchased it for £30 nos so cant go wrong really as i think vag charged £120 for them - might just have a different plug- easily sorted.
-
Hi is this correct for 95 corrado thanks cannot find antenna on etka. Note it has a none threaded end- I believe there are late and early but as mentioned cant see nowt on etka.

Hi there is an after run fuel sensor its brown by the back of the manifold have you tested this . -
Got them fir my Mk2 this summer .
-
Look great think they are Porsche 944 lenses did you have to cut the glass to fit.
-
If you look at the link below I just fitted these and 6 go in the rear beam brackets and two in the rad support panel to attach it to the the front support- I always use new bolts in the subframes as most them are stretch bolts - does cost a fortune though if using original vag bolts. VW charged £5 each for them but these were £1 from Audi and are subframe bolts- plus they are obsolete the vw ones in the UK at present.

Ive been offered some vwms 268 cams to but i think im finishing the build there- ive heard 268 can be a bit lumpy and the engine is very smooth at the moment . I cant remember what rev reading was on stock box at 70 mph - on my G60 its just over 3 k - which code is your box as gearing can be different for different markets - in the Uk the codes for a VR box are CHN + CHM mk3/rado.
-
Yes mate it pulls very strong in the high gears now - the car feels like a proper autobahn stomper now with the semi helicut top gears feels more torque for sure. Cant wait for summer a stock vr would stand no chance against this car now on the motorway great upgrade totally recommend. Top picture 6th at 70 mph Bottom picture 5th 70 mph. .
-
Yeah I might do the bolts one at a time that works - pictures above I cleaned the drive shaft whilst there and in good nick👍 My next project is boxing all my part hoards into boxes this is just the start - tote boxes are very handy . Not even touched the loft yet it’s a nightmare but you have to have spares to keep 3 classic Vw going and I’ve collected a fair few garage clear outs in the past mostly when folks are moving house .
-
Nice one Geri Im looking forward to summer all right- I sent you a PM about that engine just as was chatting to Vince today and he pulled up the invoice for me off his computer- car was last worked on 20 years back.
-
Its actually tactical to taunt you and cressa car ocd lol.
-
I did attempt that and got some off VW International but they were too long- genuine vag ones to .
-
Thanks very much fla It transforms the car it feels like an autobahn stormer in the high gears now - well worth it guys my advice get one whilst you can as Andre from Gemini is heading towards his 70s and his a company built on one mans knowledge really. Vince is your man to build it up as he use to work for them many years ago. Now i have got to wash the car and under belly as drove back today from Stealth on salt ridden roads grrrr- hate that.
