  1. I just used some wire cutters sliced off the mushroom - looks a bastard to get a sleeve in that hard line as it looks moulded from factory so Im glad I did it my way.
  2. These copper sleeves are all ready inside the hard line hose so no need to put one in- just pop the new hose over it. Just need to slice the mushroom off and soft hose pulls off . if you slice the mushroom off this is what you will see . Just need to get between mushroom and pipe start from bottom and go vertical .
  3. It’s the brand you want to find codan SAE J 30 R9 1A on hose which is fuel tested compliant . Fuel line inside tank which sits in fuel is R10 from memory .
  4. One of the best colours same as the golf rallye blue.
  5. Personally I would not use that topran hose - this is the proper stuff for fuel hose external off a bonified seller. . https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/382558389619
  6. Good shout Fla. Detailed pictures here show sleeves .
  7. Also to add please can you post which fuel line or link so I can look its good enough as not to fail premature. If its off ebay many fakes always buy from a commercial seller or known - just like the 3m tape and tessa all junk fake.
  8. You have to slice off the metal mushrooms without cutting the pipe under mushroom ( go vertically from underneath ). If they are nice and rusty its easy just fall off- if they are solid its a pain - start working a metal flathead in between the mushroom and pipe- use some pliers squash the mushroom a little - you just got to weaken it and it will eventually drop off the hose. where the 2 pipes meet they are joined by a copper sleeve- you must not damage or collapse this. Do not over tighten clamps- fuel clamps are only torqued very low any way. use a screw driver to tighten not a ratchet,
  9. Congrats mate good to see you out and about in the rado - its vitally important to keep them running or they will punish you for sure . Any pictures ?
  10. Ouch ! https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.com/catalog/en_uk/part/1H0919651Q?ct=3&q=fuel hose 3.5 mm
  11. Late to the party but for future reference can buy from here. https://www.onlychargeddubs.co.uk/products/g60-idle-set-screw.html
  12. Yes chap my car just the way I took photo - they sit absolutely flush with arches - perfection fitment with no spacers - aye lot of money all right back in the day - much more then a set of rm splits .
  13. Nice G60 you have a late body like mine- late lights- fogs , bonnet , wings - early interior.
  14. This flyer totally blew my head the tyre size you could get with the vwms alloys which is the perfect over sized fitment alloy for a VR 7.5 J 35 ET - would they actually fit a corrado.as advert displays- especially if lowered with 25 mm lowering springs which most have ? I have some 205 45 Pirelli on them I may have wished I had gone for 215 after seeing how big these tyres are. interesting a 225 40 - on vwms. BBS RA 15 6j on 195 tyres BBS RZ 16 7J on 195 tyres VWMS Speedlines 16 7.5J on 205 tyres. Some strech on these. I actually think the better the brand tyre you get the more stretch if under sized as less play in the rubber? I had some avon sport 45 205 on some bbs RC and they were hardly stretched what so ever. .
  15. Yes they will fit fine I even have 195 45 on a 7J tyre and look and drive fine. Here is how they sit on a sebring which is 6 J. 195 45 7 j on rz drives fine - half inch wider alloy then a speedline 6.5 .
  16. I concur it is compatible and yes it says it does not fit but it does. Its a lot cheaper then the same vdo sender vw sell form germany with the vag stamp which is over £100.00 for the exact same part and manufacturer.
  17. Quinton Hazell lol no chance will that be the same quality as a VDO unit.
  18. Just to finish this thread these bolts worked fine and are described as beam carrier so correct loading.
  19. Oh it won’t be new mate off that seller pretty sure they cost 1.4 k new something like that 💰
  20. Seriously drop to 195 50 and get some Michelin pilot sports - great value and great tyre -no brainer .
  21. Thanks for the kind words mate- your spot on - leather out and the shrick - would of been a breakers dream that car- also had the spoonfed deep pile set and boot carpet + carbon look sill trims- although there is a Scottish man know that has obtained them off me .
  22. Ive just remembered I did call That Austin garage and picked his brains about chains and what they had did - his words were its an old car mate in the soft educating voice ok good bye he said.
