Just tried to call them but no answer - they are still advertising in the magazines though so pretty sure they are still going...
-
LOL, I spent about an hour trying to find them the other day with the first address on my satnav - I got that from the website - shocking if they have moved and not updated the site!I gave up in the end and continued on my way. I heard they were winding the business down buy still going... tbh though, any business who can't keep a website up to date with basic contact details doesn't deserve to be trading these days!

You really want 10.9 for brakes and 12.9 for suspension stuff as that's what VW use... A fastener place will sell you stronger ones but try and find a match for the the size you need on ETKA and buy VW ones as they seem to corrode much less than standard bolts with that green coating they use.

Maybe replacement flywheel as these don't come with the 6 degree mark I think... Best way to check is to use a timing gun with advance, set it to 6 and look for 1 mark then set it to 0 and try and find the other - that way you know you are not set to 0 or 12 degrees When you know you are at 6 then take it for a drive, stick some decent fuel in it and maybe try a bit of advance... also well worth taking to Stealth to get the WUR mod done and setup on the rollers!

With difficulty.... you need to remove the lock cylinder before you can get to the cable that lets you remove the handle... The handle then pivots out like a MK3 etc... you need to undo that Torx screw but not completly

Usually an over-tightened jubilee clip on the low pressure hose from the res - check this first!

Anyone know the number of SKF wheelbearings for VR6
Supercharged replied to Mawrick's topic in Suppliers Forum
I've looked into this before and the kits always end up more expensive than VW -
Yep - that's correct
-
Is the Corrado VR6 rear axel same as Passat 1.8?
Supercharged replied to Mawrick's topic in Drivetrain
Don't think so - the Corrado uses a Golf rear beam -
New engine on exchange from VW / VEGE will be cheaper (and better) I'd have thought!
-
You can only get G12++ now and it's cheaper from the dealer or TPS than GSF!
-
You sure it's the HG?? Just they hardly ever fail on VR's!
-
Sure it's not sub wiring? blue wire is usually the switch...
-
What car do you have??
-
It's 8mm ID - I think fuel hose will be ok but the proper stuff isn't much from VW.
-
switched spark plug wires, now car hesitates???

Sure the firing order is correct? -
Any experiencw with demontweeks and colourflex hoses
Supercharged replied to Mawrick's topic in Suppliers Forum
No all the colours are is they change the plastic cover over the braided pipe to the colour of your choice, usually made to order so take ages and slightly more expensive. No difference in quality but deffo go for the stainless fittings - I have some plated ones on my car and they look worse after 5 years than the original VW ones I took off which are probably twice as old. -

new to corrado's whats oil temp all about???
Supercharged replied to bobbymkII's topic in Engine Bay
Well... they all seem to run hotter than golfs do which I reckon is to do with a busier engine bay etc and maybe... Always good to so an oil flush and coolant change though and see if it makes it any better. -
Use proper fuel line clips not Jubilee's if possible, Jubilee clips are not constant tension and will lead to the fuel line cracking. G-werks - Hehe - yeah just a bit of free advertising as they have helped me out a few times!

They are just Goodridge hoses mate but with the Stainless fittings (which are much better than the standard ones) Not a bad price either with the 20% off! -
I'd soak it in plug gas for a bit before trying to budge it...
