  1. They might be I suppose - both 54mm but not sure if the length etc is different... Big Red sell new pistons
  2. 288mm's on 305's aint going to work I don't think because of the offset and size of the discs - have you seen my thread about the 312's? viewtopic.php?f=23&t=83206&p=963060
  3. Bero from VWspares or VW if ou want the red ones.
  4. You sure david? I thought Vauxhall ones were a different angle... Also you need to make sure it has the same connections too
  5. Speak to Neil mate - he got me the 6NO part but was years ago... if there is just one listed for a MK4 Polo (95on) then I would just buy that
  6. Safety recalls by VW... mostly on the VR6's plus the MK2 Heater Matrix issue on very eary cars before they started fitting the bypass valves http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recall ... rch=Search
  7. Strange! maybe that hole is different for a locking bolt or just worn?
  8. Can you not do a part number search on it and see what it supercedes too? most likely a 6N0 part which is what I have on the G60 - identical part.
  9. Hi mate - yeah will be the ABS rotor... some cheaper bolts are cut to length and you might find one is a bit longer than the others - may need cutting down slightly or swapping for a rear
  10. It's the right plate for the car but not for the springs - you need the earlier sort.
  11. MK2 Driver or MK4 TDI have a similar part.
  12. Does the clutch feel ok Fla? ie does it have a bite point you can feel?
  13. Just get it from VW - £5 a litre
  14. Still available - give Neil at Ipswich Audi a call if Barnards can't find it...
  15. Just re-read it - both sides missing! Must have been a result of a subframe or steering rack change by a cowboy garage... I'd try and find out what was done do you can check everything else out too!
  16. Sheeeet!! - Yeah there should be a bolt through that hole holding the subframe up but you're not missing a bush - the hole is just there in the control arm so you can get to that bolt to drop the lot. Must have come loose I guess and dropped out
  17. The Bentley doesn't cover the 16V's though unfortunately as they didn't get them in the US
  18. Undo the cap and stick some rag down there, then remove the outer circlip round the edge of the rubber then it basically just pulls off although I think you need to remove a breather pipe too.
  19. Yeah should both be adjustable and have locknuts - only MK2's came with one side fixed
  20. Yeah ends are the same as above - just the rods on a VR are slightly longer for the widetrack!
  21. Those MK3 style filters are meant to be 'lifetime' but really this means 60k miles max - any more and they can get blocked and cause the pump to whine so I'd say do every 40-50k max The only ones I've seen rust like that are pattern parts - Thats an OEM make but maybe not genuine VW - big difference in the parts supplied to the patern markets!
