Yep, it's the arms that are the issue on the Corrado - search on here for Lupo or TT conversion

MK4 Golf Rear Calipers + Pad question
Supercharged replied to Supercharged Junkie's topic in Drivetrain
Yeah MK4's have thinner discs, get MK3 / Corrado pads - I've been running these fine for years! -
Yep - ECP always sell the wrong ones for the 4Cyl Corrado's (despite me telling there head office this nearly 5 years ago!)

Recent clutch /engine mount?? Try the speed sensor first ontop of the gearbox (£15)

New G60 injector harness - Where from and how much?
Supercharged replied to Riley's topic in Engine Bay
About £50 from VW mate as they come with the plastic casing / bracket thing - I think Sam (Blue Joe had a new one for sale maybe?) -
Compare the resistance of that sensor with the other side - I assume the GSF one was not an ATE part - it may be that you have to change the other side to match...
-
Yeah thats fine for Corrado...
-
Corrado calipers are MK3 (Late MK2 Golf and MK3 Golf)
-
Hmmm - try starting again on the black then just unplug and leave the blue - it should idle low (500ish but drive ok)
-
Have you actually tried known working relays and a new switch? Can you measure the resistance of the Blue Temp Sensor or try plugging the blue loom into the black sensor... My money is probably on the Hall Sender after these...
-
It will fit but the lines on the top are slightly different early to late... Do you need a VR one?? I have one in Aqua...

Last time I got one it was £11 + vat trade (probably a bit more now - maybe £15) -
SKF Bearing Kit suppliers for wheel bearing kits
Supercharged replied to stevie_f_2004's topic in Suppliers Forum
Hi mate - I would just try the yellow pages for bearing specialists and ring round - problem is i don't think you will find the kit any cheaper than VW tbh... -
Hmm, what the breakdown guy said seems a bit vague as you don't have a factory imob as far as i know (not on a K plate) but may have aftermarket (any fuses near the battery?) Good place to start would be to buy new ignition switch, Fuel pump and ECU relays
-
Measure it with a metre dude... Yan might have some info on this as it may well need setting up like the CO-Pot on the 60 Who wrote that PPC K-Jet article? If it was Dave Walker then just phone/email him...
-
Please keep to the original thread - there really is no point starting a new one!!
-
As above - one shagged mount will put more strain on the others, also check the wiring to the lambda probe is ok (bolts to a bracket ontop of the rear engine mount) could also be the front mount brackets been ripped where it's welded...
-
If they think it's the Crank sensor thats faulty then that should sort your issues out... Just tell them to order the plug from VW - a few quid with the repair wires etc, they should know this!
-
 Good old days! 8)
-
Yeah i'd change the CTS, MAF and sort the Lambda out Not sure about the speedsensor tho, you need to ask them really... How did the car drive before the caliper seized?
-
Hi mate - obviously only seen it briefly and there are a few on here i've noticed that could probably give you lots more info and local knowledge but seems a really nice city (especially after working in London a bit over the last 2 months!!) Really good bars and really good atmosphere - great drive up here too!
-
LOL - yeah maybe not the best info to post on an internet forum but it's really not rocket science!
-
 He never learns!! So what is the actual fault that made you take it on or was it just a service?? tbh I'm not sure about Awesome GTI - a specialist should easily be able to repair a lambda plug back to factory and it's a common problem on a corrado for these to break from sloppy engine mounts... The MAF is £150 exchange from a Bosch dealer and takes the same time to fit as the BTS (5mins) As above the speedsensor will be what they got with VAGCOM - either the crank or cam sensor but the crank always comes up with the engine not running - I assume they know this (!) and the car would run if it's dead (could be intermittent tho) The cam sensor (G40) is also known as a speedsensor and the engine will run ok without this but loose sequential injection and therefore run about 30bhp down Could really do with the fault code printout for more info mate if you feel like your getting messed around!
