  1. Ah ok...my one is a bit blurry anyhow so if the boost monkian can scan a better one that would be cool!
  2. Cool - yeah it will come out but yuo need to remove the fan mesh thing to get it out without scratching the scuttle Make sure you stick the chip in the right way!!!
  3. No don't undo that screw!!! There is a metal lever type thing on the far side, open this and the plug releases clockwise towards you
  4. Yan, I gave you an electronic copy of the Group A didn't I??
  5. ^ LOL, I was waiting for him to realise... Funniest thing about that car is Nick didn't tell his Mrs he'd bought a charger - when she heard the noise and questioned it he told her it needed a new alternator - genius!
  6. Nah it's not then - go and buy an Eezi-Bleed dude, they are great!
  7. As above, I looked into getting an OE one done basically to factory spec altho I could customise it if needed - this was going to be around £100 + vat!
  8. OEM are pretty damn good to be honest and I would think it would last ok on a 250bhp engine... Might be worth having a word with Nick or Vince at Stealth as i'm fairly sure that car had a clutch less than a year ago as part of the timing chains job...
  9. Hmm - are you using Gunsons Eezi-Bleed??? If so you should only be sticking a pipe on the slave for the waste... you need to pressurise from the fluid res - this is the easiest way to do it... The other way is with 2 people, one pressing the pedal while the nipple is open, then pulling it back up after it's closed and so on...
  10. Thread pitch looks the same from the pic but would be hard to tell if it was .25mm different... does the FK nut thread onto the old shock??
  11. Yeah Lambda - the G60 also requires an earth thru this bracket so check that also!
  12. Bare in mind Tom has also tried to put 'G60' into this filter also... ...the tw4t :D
  13. Ah... that made me chuckle and also loose some ham out of my roll...
  14. Trouble with fronts is the allignment needs doing afterwards, regardless of this a new bearing kit is £30ish and should take about an hour to swap for an equipped specialist.
  15. You should be able to find where it plugs in once it's dropped down - you need to 'unlock' the fusebox to remove these plugs - you will see a black tab to do this, it slides across...
  16. Goldie - if your stripping it completly the ABS sensors attach to the stubs I think so i'd unplug from under the rear seats and pull them thru, drop the beam and worry about removing them (if you need to) once the stub axles are off... (or remove the stubs while beam is in situ and pull the sensor wires thru - will make the beam alot lighter when it drops!!) Bolt Grippers are a must for this job!!!
  17. Get an old FLUKE off eBay - £30ish and they are bombproof!
  18. So it's a MK2 Golf?? You just need a non ABS MC (22.2mm) and the 9" servo without the BPPS
  19. Yeah - you might need the loom too then - maybe stick a wanted up... Edit - yeah any late UK corrado should do as far as I know...
  20. It will be the earth wire mate - get the loom out as it just runs down the the fuse box and replace that wire with a repair wire from VW - I would also stick a fuse inline too... Have a search on here as this has happened a few times now, basically the switch fails and sticks 12V down the thin earth cable.
  21. Worth also mentioning the breather pipe can also cause a smell from the engine bay if the Carbon canister has been removed - it needs to be vented to the airbox or hole in the wing... I think your leak is most likely under the car tho either from a pipe as Riley says or the fuel filter maybe?
