Welcome to the forum - well worth putting what year and engine you have, especially with technical issues! Also any work / servicing that's been done recently along with the mileage Have you got the text from the original diagnostic? If it's a VR6, it will run approx 30bhp down when the cam sensor is not working

Any builders on here? suspended flooring issue
Supercharged replied to fla's topic in Off-topic Chat
Yeah I forgot to mention about making sure the machine is levelled properly etc - makes a huge difference if not! If there is solid concrete I would deffo move it - the flex water pipes can be extended easily enough if you have plinth space under the cabinets - just the waste plumbing which is a pain! -
I'm sure these are still available although maybe from Classic Parts!

I'm no expert but a washing machine on a suspended floor isn't ideal... Is it a kitchen? If so, anywhere else you can move the machine too? -
Yep, just warm it up first and don't thrash it...
-
Hmmm - I thought the new bolts came with the washer built in or is he fiting a bolt from a DX engine?
-
It was an option on all late cars and the VR had it as standard - the G60 was also meant to be standard ABS but there were supply issues so only the latest ones got it.
-
You got a pic of where you want it? A pipe from a VR or ABF engine might be what you want...

Is it just me? problem with typing
Supercharged replied to lilfuzzer's topic in Site Comments and Questions
It will be IE 10 as that's what it ships with... Hit your browser choice tile and install Chrome and make it your default -

Windows 8 / IE10 I'm guessing? I had the same issues, just use Google Chrome! -
You must have either ABS fitted or the matching Audi 24mm master Cylinder for this upgrade - pedal feels awful on a 22mm non ABS one
-
bad engine earth i reckon
-
I think one of the 1 pin aux sockets on the top of the fusebox is switched - not sure if it goes via the X relief relay though
-
Best to ask VW / TPS with your reg as there are a couple of different ones on the G60... Drive by wire will feel different but if the G60 ones feels much heavier then there is a problem somewhere
-
No I think he's right - those ones are actually LHD too... It's likely that the slaves been done before or the fact that it failed has taken the master cyl with it 1st gear is usually the most difficult to get in when the bite point drops due to a hydraulic issue - If it's not the slave and the pipe is ok and fluid is fresh then it has to be the master ---------- Post added at 2:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 2:15 PM ---------- You also need the pedal to match - see this thread http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?58626-Clutch-Master-Cylinder-where-can-I-get-one

Try moving the shifter - should be easy enough to get to..
-
Fuel pump sender cover?? Yeah just 3 screws - replace these with stainless The cover is metal and can be powder coated
-
VR rack is completely different... I doubt the rack needs changing and pipes are usually easy to get hold of... like these - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Power-steering-rack-pipes-for-VW-Golf-mk2-Corrado-Passat-to-1992-/221182479611?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item337f80ccfb The pumps don't like running dry and you need to prime them with new fluid but often the noise disappears once it's been driven - are they using the correct VW green fluid?
-
This is completely nuts - the VR uses a plus suspension setup and different hub carrier / ball joint setup along with wider wishbones / drop link connections. You'd need 4x100 (abs) hubs + new bearings but the G60 brake discs would not fit becuase of the offset, if you change the track width then you'd need a new rear beam also and that would have to be from the G60 to match the in built ARB. Bonkers!

10 year thread revival! The pipe is the vac feed from the engine for the MFA
-
Either VW or any decent motor factors will sell / match this - really doesn't cost a lot so worth buying more than you need
-
Cool - that's the easy one then as you don't need VAGCOM for the oil level http://www.deylan.co.uk/golf/096%20Fluid%20Change/index.htm
-
Welcome to the forum! It could be a sticky calliper / loose wheel bearing causing this but you really need to get the fault codes read first. Has the fluid been changed recently? Rear brakes could maybe benefit from a strip down / re-grease too Whereabouts are you based? We may be able to recommend a good garage / VW specialist

There are 2 types of box fitted to a Corrado - worth finding out which one - either 01M or 096 I think - code will be on the logbook sticker
