  1. Yep, just take steering wheel off, take pants off, take cowling off then it's just 3 screws and 2 plugs and you may need to chop a cable tie... You will need the later cowling from VAG, less thean £20 for both bits...
  2. Measure across the battery terminals, most likely the voltage guage on the amp is inaccurate...
  3. Corrado shares the floorpan with a mk2 Golf, MK1/Scirrocco is different.
  4. I think that is scrap i'm afraid...
  5. They are the same part numbers as the Lupo ones are they not?
  6. 3 hours labour for the coilovers + 2 for the allignment I would think... 5x40 = £200 +vat Also remember you'll need front top mounts and you may also want to get the ball joints changed while you there as these affect allignment...
  7. Yeah - check yer MFA to confirm... if it works then they may have relocated the temp sender, air box maybe...
  8. R = Resistor but not sure what difference that makes...
  9. All Corrado's were built in Osnabruck by Karmann, none were built by VW with the exception of a few that were prepped by VW Motorsport...
  10. NickVR6, I'm after some nearly new MK4 rears if you find any... I may also have some 288's for sale soon....
  11. Good info there but moving to drivetrain...
  12. That makes sense but I don't think it actually had anything to do with figures as the mk3 GTi's (again, 5 stud and wide-track) also got 205's...

I think the big numbered fuses are relayes dude... There are a few P reg's and maybe an R reg kicking around - late registered.
  14. We'd have to check birthdates... there was that 15 year old on here who was actually driving about in an SLC!
  15. Should be fine then if you have an uprated loom fitted...
  16. What engine is it and does it have an imobiliser or alarm fitted? So they didn't change the switch with the barrel but it now turns physically? What actually happens, do you get a click or does the engine turn but not catch... There is a thick red/black wire going to the starter motor solenoid, you want to check you get 12V down this when turning the switch...
  17. It's to do with the wide track but not exactly sure why....

    They won't no, 4 stud=M12, 5 stud = M14
  19. I got the Golf one too - the resoration manual is a much better buy....
  20. I think Sam (BlueJoe) is using these guys....
  21. ...also, after a drive, check the heat coming off the wheel and compare to the other side...
