These are still available from VAG altho you can only buy one side on it's own, if you want the other side (can't remeber which way round it is) you have to buy the pair... lol
-
Yep, as above altho the unheated one's fir the same and are a hell of a lot cheaper... never had a problem freezing either as long as you use the correct screenwash concentrate...
-
check the plastic elbow...
-
Secret proccess - lol!
-
About £25 from VAG.. don't bother with GSF / ECP tanks, cr&p quality...
-
May just be unused... test the A/C first then worry about that later...
-
Sounds correct yes...

Looks like a loom for an extra relay - not of the ones next to the fan controller look standard - have you got Aircon fitted??
-
You'd probably do it with a hammer but for the sake of a fiver... Check the new rod to make sure it's 32mm before buying it... adjustables won't fit due to the limited space between the subframe and wishbone... Play - have you jacked it up and looked for play in the rod?? - I could just about feel mine but it was much more clear when I got the end off, about 1mm of movement in the balljoint where it met the rack...!

On the G60 it's turned on with the switches on the TB but not sure about the 16V

Strange...

Welcome to the forum... What codes are coming up?? the Maf sensor is anothing thing to suspect...

Think this may be things like the rad fan...
-
pull it and see what doesn't work...
-
Lock it then try unlocking again... Also try pulling up on the knob whilst trying to open from the inside...
-
All is explained in the instruction manual - Bentley publishers still do these if you've not got one...
-
NottsCounty, sure the lever is fully down? lift the plastic tunnel and have a look at the switch and wiring...
-
He won't need to do this if he's changing the whole rod, you can re-use the rack boot by hacksawing the old rod if neccessary but they don't cost much... Before you do this tho make sure you have measured the old one so you can set the new one up! You will need a fairly thin 32mm spanner - the fan ones that Halfords sell should fit but not sure if they are strong enough... you will also need a fork type ball joint splitter to get the end off (fiver, Halfords) Make sure you use thread lock when putting the new rod on...

GSF sell the K&N's...
-
Thats a good idea... providing you have a hairdryer... which I don't, lol Yeah - not sure about K&N oil now with MAF's...
-
My MPG has dropped below 55 the last 2 tanks... (terrible I know!) and I think the air filter is overdue a clean from disconecting the intake pipe and having a look into it... What is the procedure for cleaning these and what with, also how long do i need to do it as it will need to dry out - just don't want to damage the MAF! Can replacement cartridges be bought, if so where from? TIA

They are G6 0xx tho - cannot be legally displayed as G60 XXX

Is the fan thermoswitch working correctly?
