Yes sorry, US Gallons are different....
-
FurkiG60, That should be ok then but I'd get onto it before the w/e incase it grows... G60Dub, you should be able to get a screen fitted for less than £300 but make sure its a laminated Securit screen - not a cheap copy as it is bonded and therefore structural.

Is it just leaking at the O ring on the base??? If so that can be replaced easily...
-
I WAS absolutely pig sick of my car....not now!!!
Supercharged replied to PhatVR6's topic in General Car Chat
Don't encourage him Tom!! -
What size is it?? - if its less than a 2p coin then it should be repairable... Depends on your insurance but most do free repairs (no excess)
-
To answer both of the above, this will happen as the sump is not baffled as standard altho if you see the light reguarly (ie you like to take corners very fast) then you should think about fitting a baffled gasket to save wear on the big ends...
-
Yeah, deffinetly a leak there mate...
-
Just have a search on here...
-
You can but best to order new ones...
-
Just get new front top mounts and rear bump stops...
-
I think (I hope) theRuler, was just joking... As Roger says you'd be a fool not to fix your ABS!
-
I think it's just cheaper Mat, same with any X-change items, obviously they car be repaired or they wouldn't want the old bits back but it may be uneconomical for the garage to do it and cheaper in terms of labour for you just to get a new caliper...

Help Needed Indentifying what samco coolant hose goes where!
Supercharged replied to Blue_Joe's topic in Engine Bay
It's reasonably self explanatory mate - the kit looks correct but note you have to cut some of them down to fit and it helps if you have the originals to use as a template - you need a very sharp knife for this! Also have you thought about hose clips?? Mikalor do some really good ones but be careful not to overtighten onto the plastic fittings... I'd advise fitting a new expansion tank and deffo get new plastic flanges all round, 2 on the head, 1 on the rad and one off the waterpump which houses the thermostat. OE heat exchanger - you have the 2 hoses with 3 outlets for the heat exchanger, if you still have it and intend on keeping it then get a new one if its the original, if you are deleting it you will either need to bypass is using some copper elbows (a U shape) or get the standard mk1 hoses from the dealer and not use the SMACO's or maybe contact Samco and see if you can swap them?? -
But old engine oil is still better!
-
I think they are different but this maybe only if you use the mk4 items... Goodridge do them...
-
Roger Blassberg, Yep plus new hoses as well...
-
Are these better quality than the ones you get from the UK dealers?? (packaging is different)
-
I still have the nightmares....
-
Sounds like a dead caliper but it would be worth taking the pads off that side and re-greasing up the caliper first...
-
If your getting 16MPG (!!!) then you've got a serious problem or you need to get the car set up correctly.... any standard G60 should be able to return over 30 and a tuned one around 25MPG... Then again fuel is alot more expensive over here and very few of us could afford to run a 16MPG car....
-
I think they'd probably take a very long time to fill up judging by the slight amount of oil that makes it out of my breather pipe...
-
Yep, That sounds like the ABS, cars with ABS in general don't feel quite as good as ones without but obviously you still have a big advantage with having it... If your fluid hasn't been changed in the last year it may be worth doing and maybe fitting braided hoses for a more positive feel. 288mm discs are the biggest you can fit under the Speedo's but you will also need the calipers etc too (off a late mk3 or mk4 Golf) - altho the discs are only 8mm bigger in diameter than standard, the pad area is about 50% larger so they make a worthwile upgrade!
-
jonrb, most VAG parts come with a 2 year warranty so you should be ok!
-
mrbeige, nice one! Got any pics of the offending component?? - may be of use to people in the future...
