Tidy looking red one following me through Hargrave towards Ousden on Saturday!
-
Yeah, you got a non-plus suspension kit... the bearing itself is now the same part but you need the extra circlip. about the nuts - the 6 sided one can be used but I prefer the 12 sided as it has a built in washer - if you do use the 6 sided, you must buy a washer from VW, without it you'll knacker the bearing!

'Rebuilding' a driver's seat with parts from a passenger seat
Supercharged replied to Kevin Bacon's topic in Interior
Great work and pics as always - you may want to investigate the place 2cc used in Bristol (I think) to do his as they had the VW cloth on the roll... just thinking it might be worth you sending bits down to them. -
Baz - the thread title says Plastic?

These are 3M Scotchcal material - could always buy a similar matt black or carbon tape off eBay etc
-
What car is it? Standard new exchange calipers are cheap enough
-
Welcome to the forum, could also be worn engine mounts or slave cylinder if the bite point is very low as it's always first and reverse that are affected first

Just cut them with snips - replace with plastic cables ties... (Kev told me to do this to save weight) -
That tube is still available, MK3 Golf part and costs peanuts - well worth getting! You can re-use but you may need to heat the old ones up with a welder to get the old cables out.

No boost showing in MFA and terrible MPG

Welcome to the forum, there is a black nylon pipe that goes from the back of the engine to the sensor on the clocks - you can usually here a sucking noise if it's come off inside the car. The water temp gauge is fed by the black sensor at the front of the head, the ECU uses the blue one. -
Very nice, white spirit does the job nicely but you need to leave some sort of protection on the battery tray as it seems to be a water trap!
-
Bottom ball joint failure can cause this - you need to check it with a big prybar while the steering is on lock
-
Yeah, very late decision as was on the website yesterday and nothing... Great shame but I can see why - just ironic that the forecast for Sunday is rather good!

Anyone see Trigger on 'The Apprentice' last night???

http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?18908-trig-s-94-OBD2-VR6-New-Wheels!!!!-(-finally)&highlight=trigger Lol, I thought that guy looked familiar! Yeah I remember him from RR days - he's done very well for himself in a short period of time! -
You can bridge the pins on the fan switch plug to test, middle is the earth I think.

Allumablast from Frost for the OEM look but i'd think about getting it blasted and powdercoated

16v (KR) cam bearing cap studs and nuts... kaput
Supercharged replied to m4ttj4mes's topic in Engine Bay
Did you give time for the cam to settle on the lifters first before torqueage? Is the wrench good and not working right at the bottom of it's scale? -
One option would be to break it for parts then and scrap what's left - you'll get your £300 back on the shell as they're still relatively heavy cars... Buy a VR or another Late 8V and you'll have a load of parts that you can restore then swap over if needed

RW1 - excellent info - maybe worth copying into a new thread if you have time? I was discussing the same with Yan and Jim a few weeks ago and saying I'm suprised Garmin havn't come up with a SatNav solution that does this yet! V33DUB - sorry to hear this, usually they will only write a car off if the repair cost is 100% or more of the value - is this the case? I've said it before and I'll say it again - with parts prices and parts deletion I think everyone should have an agreed value policy!
-
What car do you have??
-
Yeah I am - we're working on it!
-
Bit of Old Peculiar on the door cards I see!

Hi mate, you might be able to turn the internal mic off using the mixer settings, either control panel or the sound drivers...

So are Storm sunroofs uprated for the extra reverse speed Kip? Maybe that's why Judith's original one came without?
-
How fast were you going in reverse??!
