That shouldn't really make a difference to the stance of the car, the springs control the ride height which either could be seriously worn or mismatched or maybe more likely to be knackered front topmounts or badly corroded spring seats :|

Mate - they turn in unlike the fronts, you can get the tool with the correct adapter from Halfords etc, very hard to do without it!!

The thermal fuse doesn't always go tho, when I got my car it was only working on 4 and the restistor had almost melted but the fuse was still intact! - May have been bodged in the past of course :?

Is it a VR? If so I think there is a common prob affecting hot starts?

If nothing has been done already I would use the £1k towards Clutch/Chains/Head rebuild as you will save on the labour getting these all done at the same time

Glad to here it mate - Did you get any compensation out of it as well for the time you had to take off work and the hours of therapy and councelling?

I'd try another dealer as they don't check each others stock, they are a fairly generic part (mk3 Golfs) so you've got a good chance, a mate of mine bought both cyl's a few months ago from the dealer and both were in stock that day.

It should be the same height all round else the handling / braking will not be good!

Why do I always have problems filling at Sainsburys, The pumps are always cutting out when filling up and seem to be far to sensitive no matter what angle you are filling at...

What Offset are you going for Kev? I just know that the 17's (ET25 I think) that were on the car rubbed all the time on full lock and over bumps and that was befroe lowering, mind you the stiffer suspension may help prevent this.

I've been looking too and want 16's but also want to make sure I will be able to fit the Brembo's in the future... 1 - What is the best size 16 and offset, and tyre profile etc to fit a Corrado without rubbing (35mm lowered) 2 - What is the rolling radius compared to the 195/15's and how much will it affect the speedo? 3 - Does anyone have 16" BBS's fitted over Brembo's? - If so what model, offset and demensions? ... also does anyone know if Halfords / BBSdirect give any other tyre choices apart from the Toyo's?

Some Corrado's have the Mk2 collumns / splines, some have Mk3 after the change over but its not entirely consistent! - I would say you have the wrong one, if its a mk2 one change it for a mk3 and vice versa...

There not actually Koni springs, Its just a 'Koni equipped' kit - the springs are Vogtland IIRC and I think Jedi Knight has them on his VR
