Condensation means moisture getting in somewhere.. No heat inside and engine is warm usually points to a seized bypass valve, new matrix and pipes required

Golf's didn't get the 9A, only the KR which is mechanical injection so no ECU... With issues like this the first things to try and the Ignition switch, fuel pump and ECU relays? K-Jet ECU's are fairly robust tbh, it's Digifant ones that are a bit more fragile...

Cheap car for V5 conversion - big job?
Supercharged replied to bristolbaron's topic in General Car Chat
Big job but very nice interior... just wondering how much bigger it is compared with the MK1 Toledo as this shared a few interior parts with the Corrado like the the ashtray and had a very similar dash. -
No more than an hours labour including running the CV through a parts washer... I'd expect to pay between £75-£125 including the genuine CV kit depending on the cost of labour.

Yeah they've been like that for years though mate - on ETKA it says 'also use' and specs a bung with a seal plus another clip... sensor idea is a good one though for troubleshooting! -

If it's suddenly started running very rich and nothing has changed then I would suspect the ECU - common fault with these blowing injector drivers if the engine bay earths are not great... Maybe check the BTS is working though, timing and battery voltage good. EDIT - You say it doesn't run bad from cold - maybe the BTS is not working, you just need to read the resistance across the pins and compare with the new one... Might be worth you arranging to meet up with Rubjonny - he's not far from you at all and loves MK2's! -
Love that site!

That oil is very thin for an old car... Synta may improve things!

Yep, as per the link they fit all model years, backing also as described and has been good for the last 5 years or so... Last ages these mats! ---------- Post added at 08:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:11 PM ---------- Supply and demand... New Golf mats are £35 but Scirocco ones are £70...
-
Mk3 ones are bigger but would be good if they did fit... That said a new Valeo one is £50 and will last years, hardly going to break the bank!

I don't think VW recommend that plug for that engine, should be platinum as above!
-
Anyone looking at buying corded should really think about investing in Air... yes more outlay initially but so much more choice of tools and versatility.
-
Probably something broken or out of allignment but this could also maybe be the clutch slave - does the pedal feel strange / bite point feel low?
