Yep, you must pressure bleed as it's ABS so either get an Eezibleed or get VW to do it
-
Rear brakes binding slightly?? Changed tyres recently??
-
Id try and borrow a trade card from someone and get a Halfords one - they really are great quality but I wouldn't pay £70 (used to all me £49) Not sure I'd trust a £20 one for accuracy...
-
They do but with many people choosing the TT/R32 ones it makes sense to go the powdercoating route... VW have always used bolt on ball joints so these are seperate.

Can be the gauge but usually the sender - you can unplug and bridge the pins to test the gauge. Also checking the pins across the sensors for resistance - the duff one will be open circuit.
-
Yeah that's the one, white plug and you need to pin it from the back with the meter - anything less than 12v at the rail and the car will overfuel by 25% When you buy the housing make sure they sell you the extra bung as new ones have a third outlet (if it's not been changed since 2004) There was a magnex cat back system for sale for around £200 on here - really good aftermarket system! You could also check the lambda wiring - this is near to the rear engine mount and it plugs in to a bracket attached to it - handy when the engine mount fails!
-
Dealer stuff is good - nice yellow colour so easy to see the level... Black is a worry though - this is either very old (over 5 years) or your brake hoses are starting to fall apart from the inside - be very wary of these and if unsure of age then change them - should be done every 7 years or so.
-
^If that's correct can you log out and clear your browsing history... If using Internet Explorer go to Tools\Options and use the 'Delete' button under the General tab, Browsing history. Log back in checking the box to 'remember me'

corrado16v18, can you confirm these have both been sent by posting up the tracking numbers for each please? -
Mate - what ISP are you with (ie BT / Virgin etc?) What Browser are you using? - If you're on Windows using Internet Exoplorer try downloading Chrome and trying that to rule out a browser cache issue.

Wrong cables but I actually bought some not so long ago from Euro and they were correct - not quite as good quality as the VW ones I was comparing to though.

2.0l 16v wont start after installing New Air Flow Meter
Supercharged replied to Tedb's topic in Engine Bay
Hmm - well either disturbed something or plugged in the wrong way?? Could also be co-incidental ignition switch failure... have you checked fuses too? -

When were the ignition switch and ECU relays last changed? -
£2 ish from VW!
-
Have you checked all the bulbs Matt? - was just thinking this sort of things might happen if you have a cracked fog light which is full of water... could maybe unplug lights to isolate / test
-
I think maybe an injector is stuck open or you're not getting 12v to the fuel rail - worst case is the injector driver on the ECU is blown due to a bad chassis earth. Idling the engine for an hour is probably not doing it any good by the way - probably needs a new lambda probe and blue temp sensor at a minimum but I would fix the coolant leak first and also change the oil and plugs.

Cover is about a fiver - comes galvanised too now!

Can you stick to the original thread please - no value in starting a new one http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?53916-1.8-16v-alternator-power-steering-belt-replacement

Tom - I assumed you noticed the email addy's were different between the 2 accounts? _Meth - can you confirm you can access both of these or PM VR6 the one you are using, he'll then merge the accounts and posts once it's ok. Also be aware that even if you recieve CF email into your inbox the Password reminder may well go into a junk filter because of the word 'password'
