-

Brilliant Anna, cant wait to see what engine bay bits I can get. Can you still get the radiator guides for a VR6? one of mine has been cut for an induction kit and a replacement one I bought turns out to be missing the rubber edge! -
Thanks James, makes me feel a bit better if thats the colour it should be, the bonus was it came with the cap!!
-
Definately going this year (if the car is ready).
-
Got some new bits from VW heritage today: Not sure about the power steering bottle though as I expected it to be whiter, its more a green colour?
-
Thanks chaps, Engine is definately coming out but I think I'm going to leave the clutch and chains in place this year, get some cams for next winter and do it all then. I think the costs of what I've got planned on the cleaning side will use my budget.
-
My plan was / is to put the 263's in but not going to happen this year so will do the chains/guides then. Can the chains/guides be done with the engine in the car?
-
Its whats behind the engine, the gearbox and the subframe that needs sorting. The croosmember is still as good as when I fitted it last year.
-
How did you manage to drop the starter motor on your nose??????? My car is on 67k miles, is it worth changing the clutch and water pump?
-
Brilliant thanks. Its a VR6 engine. Does the flywheel need to be split to get the gearbox off or does it just unbolt and pull apart please?
-
Amazing condition but would prefer the mini he has for sale
-
Does anyone know if there is an engine removal guide anywhere or if anyone can give me some pointers? anything tricky? Also, does the gearbox come away from the engine easy? Any help greatly appreciated.

So can I buy a new 50mm splitter then? Is the vr6 air filter lid / whole air box available? -
Thanks Michael, at least I know know exactly where the headlight angle sticker goes!! So many wires under the bonnet its so difficult I think to get it looking really neat and tidy, your doing a great job though.
