We definately need pictures Sean. Do you have a TPS near you? I just got loads of genuine parts at trade price, big saving over the main dealers.

Wishbone is off!!! just got to drill out what is left of the bolt.
-
Manifold bolts came appart easy, the 2 headers are still on the engine though. a couple are a bit tricky to get to though. The only bolts that sheared was the rear engine mount on the gearbox side and the wishbone bolt. Good luck Sean, plenty of pictures is the way!

Can anyone confirm if the front wishbone bush for a VR6 is part number 357-407-182 please?
-
Thanks Kip, I'll have a look

Thanks Kip, I will definately check before powder coating. Dont suppose the bush part number is 357-407-182 is it?
-
hmmmmm not sure how easy it will be. better then doing it on the car though i suppose.
-
Hopefully! once I get this stripped its powder coating and straight into the rebuild.

That picture of the bolt looks exactly like mine!!

Yep thinking about it, it was the passenger side. The drivers side seems just as tight so that is likely to go too. Had an impact gun on it and didnt shift it.

Thanks Daren, I did think I would have to cut it through the back part. Reckon the other one is going to do the same too. Will take it to work I think.
-

If you decide to split, in the next week or so I will need to buy: Ball Joints & lock plates, Drop links, bottom arm bushes ARB bushes & metal plate, Track rod ends, All the bolts that hold the subframe in place, Bolts that hold the bottom arm to subframe, Chris -
Stripping the front subframe and I've managed to snap the horizontal bolt that holds the bottom arm. Trouble is its snapped so the bottom arm wont come off. Has anyone done this before and hows best to remove it please?
-
I got it split at a place local to me but they tried to do me over when I picked it up so will build it back up myself. There is a company we use at work who supply bearings so might see if they do one.

Thay can be refurbished, this is how mine stands at the moment: Going to get the case vapor blasted then decide whether to paint it or leave it. The copper on the stator cleans up well with tomato sauce!
