I'm really struggling to get decent pictures at the moment, heres one of the new reservoir and the new ABS pipes look great.
-
Been a bit slow of late but now have everything back from the powder coaters for the subframe rebuild and also been trying to sort my ABS pump. Had all the unions and mounts zinc plated and painted the body, finally got it back together today: And back on the car with the new brake pipes:

Brilliant! Thanks guys, can hopefully get it assembled tonight.
-
Thanks Sean, that makes sense, i have it laid out on the living room floor now! Should the very ends of it what the connecting links fasten too point downwards?
-
Can anybody explain which way up the torsion bar goes on the front suspension please? got it all back from powder coating and not sure and my pictures dont show it very well. Thanks

Thanks Guys! Doubt sshe would ever make olympics but she wouldnt mind! She is still to make national times but she does fairly well at North East Regional level.

I'd love to restore a mk1 GTI to factory standard at some point, I had a 'Y' reg one lined up to be my first car back in 1992 but it was when insurance went through the roof and I couldnt afford the £750 premium. (quite cheap by todays standards though). Has it had a single headlight conversion or is that standard for its year? Is the interior standard? definately do what you can to keep it!! -
should look pretty good under there when your done Sean! The bills certainly rack up, I've just been and picked up 12 injector 'o' rings (£56) sump bolts (£26) plus a load of other clips, nuts and bolts all totalling £145!! this is on top of the £225 bill for subframe bits a couple of weeks ago! We must love these cars!

Car looks spot on Darren, my 2 favourite wheels on that second picture, RS's and RH ZW1's.
-
Some of the wheels people are fitting are just hideous, I'm sure they dont like them but just going for the shock value in partcular a I saw a picture of a blue RS4 saloon with the oddest wheels. Maybe I'm showing my age now.
-
They look much bigger then 15's, they look like 17's in the top picture
-
I do like those, any more pictures, specs etc? What size are the tyres on that second picture?
-
No tyre rim protectors would ever save those wheels though, bet thats why you dont see them. I thought they looked awful when you where following a car with them on.
-
TSW Venoms lol!! A true 90's wheel that everyone had. must be pretty rare now.
-
Somebody was asking about him on e38 this morning, ordered braided lines and never saw them.
-
Good one! he Pm'd me about buying a braided clutch pipe last week! glad I didnt go for it.
-
I hope class 14 is for those with no engine or front wheels lol!! Seriously though, I think its just the corrado and scirroco class.
-
Well thats me booked into the Concours area at Stanford Hall... Class 14, Peg 4!!! Best get cracking!!
-
A long shot but I'm after a new set of the white clips that hold the fuel lines to the car from the tank to the front, there is also one in the engine bay on the suspension turret that you can't really see, this one is slightly different to the others. Don't suppose anyone has a set stored away please?

Don't suppose you have the white clips for underneath the car that hold the fuel lines do you? -
Think that mpg will change now too....
-
Reckon it will go down really well at Ultimate dubs! You can prove that show cars dont need air ride, stretched tyres and smoothed engine bays
-
is this because they are a nicer ride then coilovers? I guess the car wont be as low on these?
-
Good one Michael, is your camera broken?
