1. Have you checked the output from the alternator? Looked back through the thread and don't see it mentioned. The symptoms you describe in the last post hint in that direction.
2. Yes, but I'll let you off. That looks gorgeous. Bet Karen F wheedles her way into a drive though.
3. I like the explanation for a seven year old, I can almost understand it.
4. Well I'm completely lost here. I had tried that previously and again last night. Reset, uninstalled, reinstalled swore, asked nicely and after switching off Windows Firewall again I managed to get everything working again about 3 this morning. Hooray. Came down this morning and everything still working. Another hooray then realised that I wasn't getting a warning that my computer was unprotected. Checked and found Windows firewall has turned itself back on!!!WTF Anyway, whatever it or I did it's working OK again. Can access Facebook and this forum is a lot faster than it was. Thanks guys.
5. Well I tried removing Java and re-installing to no avail, then Chrome froze while trying to upload my reply here and I just when I tried to get back in it told me the forum was down!! I thought I might have broken it. Then I had to go out and now I'm back. Pinging and tracert to facebook seem fine. I'll try Firefox and this Avast thingy and see what happens from there. Thanks for the advicw so far guys, can't be many car forums where you get computer advice. Ping and tracert responses below. 6. I'm having a problem with my PC connecting to facebook, it won't. I can connect to other sites no problem. At first I thought it may be the router, BT Homehub 2 but I can connect to facebook OK on my son's PC, (Windows XP Pro), so that kind of rules that out I've got a new PC with Windows 7 Home Premium on it and it seemed to be OK at first. I've tried system restore, no use. Flushed the DNS cache, no use. Turned off Windows Firewall to no avail. I've installed and uninstalled Chrome till it's dizzy. IE9 has the same problem. I know it's got to be some stupid little setting somewhere, but what and where the Frell is it. Anyone got any suggestions. I'm also running AVG Free Anti virus software.
7. Heads fine but a bit tired. Though that might be due to getting up at 6 to go to work.
8. As title. I've been out tonight being literary, lot's of free wine and several real ales. Not a good mix. People were talking about groups that they belonged to and such things and I realised what a wonderful group of people we have in this forum. Now I've only met about a half dozen of you personally but when I've had a problem the whole world, via this forum, chips in to help me. Now that is wonderful. Now I'm going to bed. Many thanks people, just for being you. Wullie
9. Never really thought about it. I didn't buy a Corrado to do economy runs. If it gets to just under the quarter mark I shove in some more petrol.
10. From previous posts on the forum the usual test for the coilpack is to spray it lightly with water when it's dark with the engine running and watch for sparks/tracking. Some have mentioned using resin to repair them. Try using the search for more detailed info. Edit:- Check the second reply here:- http://direct.the-corrado.net/showthread.php?1036-popping-under-load&highlight=%2Bcoilpack+%2Bresin
11. Got this one, still in the box.
12. 4yh January 1990. Depressing but all in a good cause.
13. Wouldn't have been Council bills anyway. 2 front tyres, a CV joint that's got a split boot, new boot for the other side, several real ales and contemplate what to do with what's left. Maybe a new set of big end and main bearings as I didn't swap them when I did the timing belt last time.
14. Got the cheque in today, whoopee :dance:Decision time. Pay some bills or spoil the Corrado.

Black Rubber Trim

I prefer the trim removed. Makes the car look cleaner.
16. Look on the bright side, you could be like me and support Scotland!!!!!
17. I loved this. Kind of Steeleye Span on speed. Spent the last hour listening to them on You Tube. Thanks for posting it.
18. Good Lord Sunderland. I thought I was the only poet here. I'm 65 and my "other lady" is 52, makes the age diifference thing quite relative. If you write your own poetry drop me a PM.
19. Congratulations, always nice to hear. Gives you a nice warm glow.
20. Saw it this morning and it brought a smile to my normally grumpy countenance. Wondered if it was new or if I had just not noticed it before.
21. Because you basically are fitting the wrong bulbs the light from them is scattered all over the road, plus, in order to pass the MOT test, vehicles fitted with after-market HID systems would also need to be fitted with headlamp cleaning and self-levelling systems.
22. It can be done in situ but it's fiddly. I took the ealternator off. Not more than half an hour.
23. Euro Car Parts, Google them for nearest branch.
24. If it's the alternator not charging properly it could be the regulator. Two screws off and on, about £12 from ECP
