  1. Adrian flux have restrictions, but I found if the quote from another insurer has say 20000 miles per year flux will honour it as long as they are aware of it! I'm on 6000 a year and valued at 5k a little over what it's worth but its on my policy. I did find that last year they couldn't beat the quote but it worked out at 91p more expensive so for the sake of a few coppers and the hassle of jumping ship I stayed with them. It's worth exaggerating the value and mileage on the comparison sites as you may get a real good deal and then flux will honour it. Not only that the next year you should get a better renewal and then just repeat the procedure should end up with a quality policy and low premiums. It's worked for me so far and I have not lied about anything like mileage or where it's kept so its all above board, play th at there own game I say.
  2. If you find a good quote on a comparison site Adrian flux will match it if your an existing customer. Have got mine down to £240 a year now not bad in my books

  15. Noticed that the Mpg on the vr shoots up in the hot weather any one else find this? What surprises me is that I can get just 25 to the gallon just 2 weeks ago and today got a healthy 34 quite a differnce.
  16. Using all the same details I got a quote on the corrado and a Porsche 996, now all I did was change the address my place in a town and my parents place 2 miles down the road in a village the corrado was 100 quid cheaper at my parents place than mine but when it came to the Porsche it was cheaper to insure it at mine in town . Thought it quite strange and shows that possibly different cars are higher risks in different areas.
  17. I had this problem with the original brake lines I recieved, not 100% but dont mk4 calipers and mk3 use different sizes of banjo bolts on the 288mm brakes and this is where this problem is stemming from?

  21. Having done this myself my advise would be take your time, with the dash don't force it or twist as when putting it back the dash won't line up quite right, I also found being systematic about it helped I have had the dash out twice the first time I forgot to connect a couple of wires and the whole lot had to come out.
  22. After a recent purchase of a genuine vw racing cap off of ebay i noticed that the other people who had purchased this cap are of a some what kinky disposition, now i have to confess i find this hilarious but now if any one see's some one at a show wearing the R cap you maybe left wondering are they also wearing their sissy knickers :D
