  1. Andy was that gain made on the same rolling road as part of test ? I'm looking at this as I want what ever is going to work best with all the ported gas flowed goodies I'm strapping on in the new year.
  2. The main comment on standard boxes is that it breathes well enough so nothing more is needed, have wondered wether its just the added noise gives you the impression its putting more power out.
  3. I think the snorkel is the pipe sticking out on the inside of the airbox I googled it but still not 100%. (I was wrong) Have a question about the bmc cda seen mixed reviews about it some feel it improves throttle response on the vr where as quite a few believe in sticking with the standard air box. From what I have read its a toss up between the two. What do you guys think?
  4. The ebay seller is on here aadams1x, contacted me last night with there website http://www.lwsdesign.co.uk/ thought it a bit dodge as i couldnt get the website to load but managed this morning and having seen the ebay stuff looks like they have a fair few trick bits to be had.
  5. Think you need a price matey also considering this is quite a specialist lot and something like this does not come up often.
  6. When you say skinning is this apply a carbon skin to the door card instead of say leather. or are you using one as a template to make a pure carbon doorcard. Does any one know of a company making carbon parts in the UK it seems like all I have seen is from the states with massive lumps of import tax bunged on top
  7. Well carparts4less have come through at 65 for a Bosch 5 year silver ,60 less than halfords and battery cover for crimbo me thinks. I only do short journeys I would charge the car up every weekend but I honestly have no where practical to do it, maybe I alternate batteries once a week.
  8. Have a semi cheap battery in the c I say cheap it still cost £60 a couple of years ago, this morning I had to bump start and have found the battery goes dead when it's cold I am planning on getting a nice new Bosch battery but was wondering would some kind of insulation prevent this from happening wether it's a new or old ?plus is my current one on its way out as this happens only when its cold and I have charged this one up many a time.
  9. i had this but only when my headlight were on, fitted an uprated loom and the problem went.
  10. Just seen this, khaki is rare enough but with the G-lader someone has to. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswagen-CORRADO-G60-1992-Khaki-Pearl-107-000-GENUINE-MILES-supercharged-/150963532754?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item232620b3d2
  11. My uncle lost around £50000 on a development in spain, they stopped half way through the build then asked for more money he just cut his losses and walked, he should of used a bit more common sense though and he was a little sheepish about the whole thing. I would never hand over money for something that's not ready, also I have read somewhere that Spain's legal system means that there government at any time can knock your home down if they so wish to build say a road with zero compensation sounds a bit extreme but honestly it's worth checking out first as I'm not 100% on this. With regards to the countries financial state I would run a mile.
  12. I have just had three chufftie's since my last post 1. Was a customer who turns out to be a neighbour he prefers the c to a mint Quattro and a Morgan that a chap owns down the road. 2. A member of staff , tell me that's not yours I so want one he says, 2am only car in the car park so a bit obvious who's it is, but all the mas Chufftie 3.pulled up afterward to get a burger from the bab van to have a slightly drunk lad proclaim " that's a serious bad man's car that corrado is wicked " had a chat with him about it and turned out he wasn't as cut as I first thought just really was quite excited at the site of a corrado. The love is still out there I guess it's just not to every ones taste as some lad once told me it was an ugly car which I can understand if you like plastic fantasic which dubs generally aint.
  13. Glad to hear you behave yourself now Andy, can't believe that any one would flick a fag butt onto your bonnet I would want to kill the s**t
  14. Might be interested in rear bumper and boot lid would need to be posted and would depend on there condition would you be able to get some photos up. Cheers Ben
  15. well done for saving this one, the wiring aint so bad when you have got your head round it all and life is made a little easier that all the plugs going into the fuse box are slightly different shapes and sizes so cant be plugged in incorrectly.
  16. Think I would want to try before I buy not too sure about the big controller with the touch screen looks a little cumbersome although I think you can use the Wii remote with it.
  17. That's exactly why they are hated! You would never get a broken sunroof on a focus :) Seriously though I think a lot of folk just ain't that into there cars and only see it as means from a to b and maybe c if there feeling adventurous, there are lots of nice cars near me porches the old sort, an ac cobra , couple of aston's and an r8 I have observed and have watched them go by with not a sole lift there head or show interest, I think another big factor is the colour the louder the better if you want to get noticed and like clothing its whats fashionable at the time, I love my dragon green paint work with its pearly glint but most of the time it looks quite dull granted a lot of dirt is hiding the paint but I just think it will never stand out quite as much as a flash red beastie or nugget. I wouldn't take not getting noticed to heart if does bother any one buy a bright pink Peugeot with a broken exhaust that should do the trick.
  18. A very good read, makes me want to know where the car is now.
  19. I tend to find petrol heads and those that appreciate a good car give the corrado the recognition it deserves. Most others though tend to see it as a banger simply because the majority are worried about having the newest most latest gadget and if you don't have it well then your done for. My neighbours have a new car every two years just for the sake of it and I find all the youngsters that work for me are quite happy to get a 5k loan just to buy something modernish, when I have quizzed them it's always the same don't want to be seen in a rust bucket they say! Your first chariot should be £300 or less it's a right of passage in my book.
  20. Going through my albums and came across this from 09 i think. I hope its the same car or I'm going to look a little foolish.
  21. Think the bloggers a bit of a box if he thinks he can't get through that gap, still great find and there is some real boxes on that site!
  22. Very good price with you including the cams, similar to my own build but I don't have the oversize valves. Do you know what the compression ratio is on the block? Ok its the link doh! Can the obd2 head be put into a obd1 car?
  23. Bid away! i did put a cheeky bid on as i know some one who wouldnt mind a schrick mani after my recommendation but he is not willing to pay the asking price for it. £850 is a little high considering the condition its in all it needs is wire brushing, its like trying to sell a car but not washing it.
  24. I'm currently the highest bidder please no body bid so I can sell it on here and make a massive profit!
