  1. I just don't know how you haven't set fire to the thing, Jim. You must have the patience of Mother Teresa.
  2. I have the wiring loom from my old VR6 kicking around in the garage (replaced with a new old stock VW loom when I had the motor rebuilt) - it's everything from the big round multi-pin connector onwards.. as far as I know, it was fine.. I just replaced it cause a new one was surprisingly cheap from VW. If you need it to test, it's yours.
  3. Proper weapon isn't it. One of my favourite Corrado's out there right now. The sheer amount of work that's gone into it is mind blowing.
  4. Ignition switch possibly? Has it ever been replaced?
  5. Does sound like it's an issue with the clocks specifically... might be worth trying another set of clocks in the car as they can be bought cheap from a breaker normally, and are easy to swap?
  6. Indeed. Will keep an eye out! And locking as this thread is totally ancient.
  7. Man.. that's a complete fricking joke! I think I'd have told them to shove the PAS pump and found one elsewhere.. honestly..
  8. Knowing that they get legendarily bad fuel economy, then would probably only be able to afford to drive it a couple of times a year anyway!
  9. The only car I've really ever wanted to own more than anything, is something American with a V8 from the late 60's.. something like a Charger or Challenger. And then as an optional extra, preferably with a Weiand supercharger poking through the bonnet. Problem is prices just continue to go one way for these old muscle cars so short of a lottery win, it'll have to remain a pipedream for now!
  10. An old forum post from 2009 says VW wanted £300 for one even back then. Be interested to know how much money they want these days!
  11. Doh. Not sure if you knew this already, but the bearing is actually encased a little in the pulley and you need to trim away some of the plastic lip holding it in (with a Stanley knife or similar) before trying to press it out, to allow for easier extraction.
  12. Really good to know for owners in that area. Read more than my fair share of windscreen replacement horror stories on this forum over the years, so it's good to know there's some companies out there who can do a good job still!
  13. Coventry.. no longer a Corrado owner (despite having owned one for about the last 16 years) so would still tag along and come and cry about not owning one any more? :) I have a bunch of totally random Corrado bits I could bring along too if anyone fancies a bit of a rummage sale from the back of my car!
  14. As per the above could you fire me over a PM and I will take a look as soon as I am back off my hols? :) Many thanks. Can see your PM, Louis - cheers.

    Car Cover for Corrado

Another thumbs up for the medium sized Halfords one - works well. As has been said aerial needs to come off though whenever putting the cover on.
  16. Hiya... Could you send me a PM? I do still have some left I think but am away on holiday now, and not back in the UK for a week. As soon as I am home I will look into them for you :)
  17. Definitely in the July edition - I had an email from their advertising company today, regarding placing adverts to accompany the article in the magazine.
  18. Looks cracking :) Nice consistent numbers on the compression check too which must be reassuring :)
  19. Mine arrived today :) Thanks very much Matt - much appreciated. I just need the rest of a Corrado now :D
  20. Hehe awesome picture - almost looks like a freeze frame from Forza Motorsport or similar. In fact I bet someone could reproduce that shot almost exactly if they spent a bit of time :)

    Headlight protectors

Hi Anna - great, will PM you.

    Headlight protectors

Willing to let my original set go for less than that, Anna.. £50 posted? Happy to donate the 'free' pair afterwards to a forum member (could do a prize draw or something?) as well as I have no need for them.
