  1. Oooh! Maybe a bit late now, but I'd buy one! :thumbleft:
  2. Correct, it's an orange filter! :camp:
  3. Find out the value (resistance) of the resistor, and buy one/strip and an orange LED from Maplins, get your soldering iron out, and save yourself £29. So long as the tracks on the PCB are OK, it'll be a doddle. Even if the tracks are a bit knackered, they can easily be repaired. :smug:
  4. Happens all over the world. Fast and Loud episodes of the Ferrari F40 if you havn't seen it. Basically a one owner low mile stock F40 went into Ferrari for a service, and one of the young workers ploughed it through a shop window ragging the bejesus out of it. Nice turnaround from the Gas Monkeys though.
  5. Mint = well, mint...........Brand news or freshly refirbed. Excellent = Very very minor kerbing or scratches on one or two wheels. Very good = Minor kerbing or scratches on more than one wheel. Good = Maybe a small amount of corrosion and some kerbing, but still perfectly useable and wouldn't look terrible when on. Fair = Need a refirb and look grotty, but will do for now. Poor = Seriously in need of refirb or junk. This is what I'd expect from a forum (like this one, but not all forums), but from ebay I'd bump them all down by at least one, and also add another one on the bottom for rejection by scrap metal dealer.
  6. Quote your consumer right and the sale of goods act 1979. If it is just the result of a stone chip rather than a large damaged area, tell them you will be seeking legal advice with the aid of the Citizens Advice Bureau, as they have not stood up to what could be described as normal use -less than normal in you circumstance. They are just trying to fob you off, but be persistant. The company that sold you the wheel should replace it or offer you a refund, and then go through their own process with the spplier. It should not be put onto you if the supplier/manufacturer will not make good to them. Stick to your guns mate.
  7. Description is woeful too.
  8. Looks good to me mate. Pretty standard design for the more robust and class leading meters of a few years ago so cant go wrong with that!
  9. I've got a Fluke but they are at the higher end of the market. Tbh Rob, anything cheap that'll measure voltage, resistance, current and continuity will serve you well, regardless of price. I had an old ten pound jobbie from B&Q before and it did exactly what I needed, it just wasn't waterproof unfortunately.
  10. My Missus is really enthusiastic when it comes to getting out in it and going to shows etc, yet the minute I mention having/needing to get anything for it - in other words, spending money, it's like I'm making the kids go hungry to pursue a hobby!
  11. Its weird as there dont seem to be many for sale this time of year with it being so close the Christmas, and you'd assume prices would reflect that. But will it now carry on with very few all year round?. Looking on ebay there seem to be as many breakers as cars for sale, so maybe now is your chance to buy at such a low price before the up?............
  12. Welcome! Sounds a very good price to me! Just be sure to give it a good checking over as I'm assuming its been laid up for quite a while with mileage that low. Get some pics up and keep us updated with your progress!
  13. Haha, they all come back in the end..................
  14. Gtechnic CQuartz C4 for trim. Those are two of the best products on the market there. Semi-permanent finish (over a years worth + of protection/restoration) so very very durable and long lasting. Not cheap for what is a tiny little bottle, although it goes a long way, and leaves a fantastic finish.
  15. Fair enough. I replied before seeing it was an older thread so hadn't seen previous replies, and I'd even posted before.......:bonk:
  16. Two bolts from the bulkhead that hold the heater box in, hoses, heater dial bowden cables, and the air ducts as far as I remember. Don't think theres much more than what you've already done mate.
  17. Indeed. Not too much needs to come off to remove the GB, so as long as you can get the car up at a reasonable height to menouvre it out, you'll have no trouble Rog.
  18. Here he goes again. Someone ought to change your username to something funny EJ. :silent:
  19. Oh I see, fir enough then. I just remember you selling a set but didn't realise they weren't correct fitment.
  20. Didn't you get rid of a good set of wheels with winters on earlier in the year Jim?
  21. At a guess I'd say he was British Armed Forces based over there with the mention of MoD security clearances. What exactly do you need Mike? Not sure if I've understood your request, but if its just a digital photo of the badges sent to you in jpg format, I can send you the Corrado and Storm ones if you like mate.
  22. Give it a good clean and machine polish and that'll come up excellent Bobby. Maybe a decent set of rims too and it'll be a very nice looking motor. :thumbleft:
  23. Indeed, very dull those Blue ones.............
