That's exactly what I'm doing in January, sending my headrest cover off for colour match to re-do my beige leather as I've had the bolsters repaired, and it's obviously not quite a colour match. Furniture clinic have had good reviews, and that's who I'm planning on using.

I'm lucky enough to have both in the car, however one is held in place with blutack! Lol
-
Funnily enough I ordered some of these early last week. eBay Chinese affairs but thought I'd see how it looks first. How did you attach them? I'm thinking glue gun on the back of the dial faces........

Does the abf use a MAF? Those sound like classic MAF failure syptoms too. I had it on my mk3 AGG and I sorted it with some electrical contact cleaner and a cotton bud.

Speaking to a friend who told me about this today. Says in the article that it was intentional, but said friend (who is a MOD on the ford owners club) says it wasn't and the guy was trying to make the exhaust "glow white hot". Meh, best thing for a Ford anyway. lol https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&ved=0CDEQqQIwAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailymail.co.uk%2Fnews%2Farticle-2524659%2FFast-Furious-fan-sets-Ford-Focus-ablaze-tribute-Paul-Walker.html&ei=FEOvUvSWLMPOhAfcqoGAAw&usg=AFQjCNEOH1AYKpJT3TPzHWYOyu3Fdbo3eA

Thinking of doing charity Rally, what car for £500?
seanl82 replied to Hofmiester's topic in General Car Chat
I never look at a dirty car as a lost cause, more a chance to knock a few more quid off the asking price. Its a great feeling to take a car from a real state to an uber clean one. I now some think that if a person doesn't clean a car then they are unlikely to have kept on top of maintenance and repair work, but there are too many variables and even the most fastidiously maintained car can have deep problems. Take your chance on a bargain and if it doesn't work out, you're not majorly out of pocket. -

Bodywork looks to be in good order, but quite high mileage and with a cloth interior, possibly a touch overpriced - that said it is a dealer so expected. Print off the buyers guide in the wiki section to take with you. Provided everything is in good order and the paperwork is good, you should be ok mate.
-
Is it not just a PCB in the back of the mk3 light as well Sean? Surely it could be retrofitted into the standard Corrado light unit with a small amount of fettling no?
-
Subframe will be a standard Corrado one provided the guide rails have not been chopped to fit. The Corrado subframes are all the same so if you need to replace it, any type stadard seat will do.

Mk3 Derv consigned to the barn for the forseable then. How is the abf in a Corrado? Surprisingly few of them around.......

The rev counter is just responding to the amount of revolutions whilst cranking, pretty sure its normal. I meant in my previous post - have you checked the spark plugs are actually sparking? Take one out at a time, you should be able to tell looking at the bottom if its wet, or by smelling it to know if fuel is entering the chamber. Next put the removed spark plug with the lead still in place on the block. Ensure the thread of the spark plug is touching metal (inlet manifold for instance) and turn the ignition. By looking through the opening at the bottom of the bonnet, you should be able to see if its actually sparking or not. Rope someone in to turn the car over if you can't do it on your own. Whatever you do, don't try to hold the plug whilst cranking lol. This will give you an idea if you are getting fuel and spark to the cylinders.

Yep, Mk3 GTI 8v pre 95 iirc is the same or very similar.

Set of FKs on ebay atm for a VR, 99p start price.
-
Fingers crossed mate. Where was your chip sourced from Rob? I have heard of some killing ECUs but they are usually ebay specials.
-
I'm assuming its DBW, so TPS is probably a good bet mate.
-
If two have gone, chances are they're all quite brittle. I'd change them all for new as the last thing you want is for another to go whilst its running!
-
They're all a bit speculative, some are heart breakers, some are very optimistic. Lots of factors to take into account, type of dyno, atmospheric conditions, as well as health of the engines and indidual modifications. I'd suggest 196 on a relatively standard car is pretty optimistic tbh.
-
Is that side exit exhaust or just a bad leak. Good choice though, always liked these. :thumbleft:

Thats an excellent price for a recently resprayed car with leather. Well done finding that. :thumbleft:

I had it on my old valver occasionally too. I used to have to keep the lever pulled out by using the seatbelt to hold it out, then push down on the passenger side to open it.

3.5K.

Anyone got some pics of them fitted? I've googled it but it only really shows lamin-x - and a random pic of my car when I don't think I've ever mentioned protectors.........
