  1. Alright Nick, do you still have the N/S front wing? If so, how much would it be painted in LC6U Classic Green Please mate? Possibly O/S wing too dependant on price. Cheers mate, Sean.
  2. Did they sort the issue with bolts then Matt? I'm ordering some lines next pay day, and I've heard a few people saying lately that they were sent the wrong bolts. I'm thinking of going for the black sleeve too to keep it a bit more OE looking, and its a couple of weeks wait for manufacture so I'm expecting them to cock it up somehow, which obviously doesn't give me much confidence in them as a whole.........
  3. One of if not THE best detailing shop in the UK, heard a lot of good things about their training days too, lots of good advice to be had from people who are amongst the best in the business, including Kelly himself. Anyone thinking of giving it a go, don't hesitate! :thumbleft:
  4. Ahh thanks for clearing that up Chris.
  5. Thanks guys, appreciate it! Just been to get the tyre fitted to the wheel that had the puncture, and the fitter spotted what I didn't, a crack! :pukeright: Ran around and managed to find someone who'd repair it. He stuck it on a rotating vernier gauge thing, and luckily its not buckled, so left it with him for repair. Contacted the guy who I bought them off, and he refunded the price for repair without hesitation which was good of him. Said he didn't realise, but the fact he didn't argue would suggest otherwise. That and the fact I know where he lives! :2gunfire:  Should have it back early next week for the tyre to be refitted, so it'll still be on the car and sorted in time for taxing at the end of the month, which is what I was hoping for.
  6. I think they were dealer fit so most were different mate.
  7. You can still get the gasket from VW, but they're £40 odd! I bought a Victor Reinze one from ECP so good quality for about £16. Not sure about the sump, but I just got a good used one. Alternatively the alloy sump from a v6 4mo Golf I believe also fits, but is shallower and you'll need a new pump as well to fit.
  8. Looks like the arch is a little more flared so I'd say late, but hard to tell from a pic.........or in person for that matter! Part numbers were on a sticker on the inside I think, so its pretty unlikely to still be there tbh.
  9. Reliable, ummmmm....................... Tbh, its not a cheap car to maintain, but compared to a new one, its not all that bad actually. It would also probably cost you much less to insure than a Clio, especially if you go through one of the specialist brokers. Have a look at the insurance section on here. I'd suggest a 16v for you if you have little NCB and/or are of a young age. They're not the quickest, but the fact you own a Corrado will give you far more street credit from those in the know than a little French thing built of plastic, paper, and superglue. They really are a joy to own, and have a true character to them. Below is a good guide of what to look for when buying. There are alot of things to look out for, but bear in mind that the newest is almost 18 years old now so its bound to be more of a mindfield than something much newer. http://wiki.the-corrado.net/the_corrado_buying_guide_checklist.html
  10. 9.5" really is too wide. Even without adaptors its too far out. You may have got away with it by running a bit of camber and slightly wider tyres, but with the adaptors its massively out. Even the most "friendly" MOT tester would have a pretty hard job turning a blind eye to this.
  11. Fuel pump relay is worth checking before panicking it could be something serious too.
  12. Thanks for letting me know Theo, I didn't get any texts from them for delivery times or anything so was planning on texting you shortly to make sure! Glad your happy with them too, will look excellent once refirbed and on your very good example VR. :thumbleft:
  13. Just registered! Bringing the wife and kids so should hopefully be an enjoyable day out for them too.
  14. Somewhere around the 175/50/15 area at a guess.
  15. Yeah I had the problem on my old valver. The screw kept working loose, and it would happen over and over again. I just put some threadlock on it and it solved the problem for me. You may have to do some sort of adaptation to the mech or door bracket to pull it in 1mm or so otherwise mate. Its the only thing I can really think of to help......
  16. No idea other than what I suggested I'm afraid Pete! Sorry!
  17. Are the walls Asbestos too? The wooden supports look relatively strong from what I can see, but there are some gaping holes there so I don't think that'll last too long! I'd be very dubious about working in there like that tbh. A chipboard or plywood inner skin would help but not sure for how long. If those supports decay and break, both you and the car are in a situation I'd not like to be in! Keep looking for another garage if I were you mate.
  18. Its worth changing anyway, but I don't think that'll be your problem. Sounds like the side bolt that goes through the door shut above the locking mechanism that is loose. When you pull the handle, does the whole handle mech pull out slightly? If so, I'd say that is your problem. Just needs nipping up with some threadlock and it should be good.
  19. Not that you silly sausage! I highlighted your original quote, "looking Braw" is what I don't understand! lol :bonk:
  20. It may be worth it if you think there are any problems Jim, but knowing Letting Agents like I do, its highly unlikely they'd give a toss or volunteer their time to it unless it involved them receiving something in return, or if there were clear problems that may result in Legal Action against them. Your eye is probably better than some overpaid, underworked muppet that pretends to know something about property anyway.

    Good lord!

Woops, did someone leave themselves logged on at work! :camp::bonk:
  22.:shrug: Not sure what that means, but thanks James! :thumbleft: Got the repaired bolsters back last night and set straight to getting them back on the seat frame with new bolsters. Quality of the material and stitching is very good, but they are slightly off shape/baggy in a couple of areas I think. The guy did say if there were any issues with fitment he'd pack it out with a bit of wadding, as obviously the old leather would be slightly stretched and he didn't have the seat in front of him to make any adjustment. I don't really want to start packing it until its had a little time to settle though, and I don't think its all that bad tbh anyway. Pics, I'll get the colour kit ordered as well as the 288mm conversion hoses for the front calipers, then its almost where I want it to be before paint.
  23. Coming on very well Theo! Wheels were collected today so will be with you Tomorrow mate. :thumbleft:
  24. Half respectable price considering what these have sold for recently! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CORRADO-VR6-Front-Grill-Badge-Good-Condition-/130986578364?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1e7f6891bc
  25. Mine amassed a great deal of mileage in the first few years! 31/1/95 - Delivery Inspection 20/10/95 - 12074 miles 12/4/96 - 19867 4/10/96 - 31042 20/2/97 - 39876 7/10/97 - 54238 10/3/98 - 61560 14/9/98 - 70090 Obviously changed ownership after that as averaged around 6k per year until 2007, where it was laid up for a couple of years. HPI check and service history all correlate so all genuine.
