  1. Hi all, up for sale are my RX228s in the link below. Selling as I'm putting originals back on. Open to offers, any questions welcome. https://www.facebook.com/groups/278350932289020/permalink/792690207521754/?sale_post_id=792690207521754
  2. May be worth changing some of the gaskets & seals if it's been on a shelf and dry for 10+ years Jim. Crank seals at least as you really don't want to be replacing them weeks after getting it back in and running!
  3. Just had a look and it doesn't look like they list them anymore. Soz mate!
  4. Do you have a press Hasan? If not, probably easier and cheaper to replace the whole wishbones. They're surprisingly inexpensive and come with bushes in place. Veedubmachune also sell them (though aftermarket) with the TT rear bushes. Unless you polybush the lot, in which case cost wise I imagine will probably work out the same. Just be careful of the securing bolts, they have a habit of shearing!
  5. And finally the inline fuse to the light switch.
  6. Shameless, but happy birthday anyway!!!
  7. sorry mate, I should have offered it up sooner. I'm not too far from you and as my car is off the road for the foreseeable future, you could have come round mine and done a bit of a swap with your parts to see what it could be before forking out. The offer is still there whenever you nee it though. Its been about 18 months since mine was on the road, but it ran perfectly before that so you're welcome to try parts etc whenever you want. :thumbleft:
  8. I've got his BMC CDA, and I feel guilty about it too. That is, until I put my foot down and all is forgotten! Lol
  9. I've had a good search through my pics and surprisingly I don't really have any of the exhaust! You can see a couple of the tail pipe in various ones but that's about it. It's a great exhaust imo. It's resonated which is what I prefer, so very quiet normally, but nice and deep when you plant your foot. I've had non resonated on previous cars and not a fan of the drone at speed or the unwanted attention they bring. It's entirely personal choice though and many on here have them and love em. Fitment wise, depends who fits it and how anal they are really! Mine sat about 2mm further to one side at the tip than it should, which although isn't the end of the world, did get on my nerves a bit. It'll be sorted when it goes back together though! As long as you take time connecting each section, mocking it all up beforehand and marking where it should go you'll be fine.
  10. I'm not sure to be honest mate. Maybe worth a trawl through Google to see if you can find any pics with one fitted
  11. Just so you're aware, the inner sunroof trim won't work with a mk3 Golf sunroof mech. The Golf uses a pull back sliding louvre thing, so you'd have to manually pull yours back, and when you tilt the sunroof the trim won't go up with it. Not sure how the louvre would work with the Corrado headlining, unless you just do away with the lot.
  12. Hi Matt, I'll have a look through the pics on the laptop tonight to see if I have any of the exhaust. It's off the car in bits at the moment. What specifically do you need? I've got the correct rear springs now, and they are fitted but the wheels are off and the car is in the air! Lol. I haven't noticed any real difference in height with new vs old, but can't say I measured them to be sure. The new springs are about half a coil longer though. Thanks for taking the time to read the thread btw, progress is almost non existent over the last 18 months but I will find time at some point to get going again. Probably over the winter as a heated garage is an absolute good send!
  13. Thanks mate. For that price it's worth a shot!
  14. Do you have a link to the one you bought Hasan?
  15. It'll be the factory immobiliser if it starts then cuts out. Aftermarket will either not crank at all or crank but not start. When attempting to start after the initial try, does it start then cut out again, or just continue to crank with no starting at all? Could be a few different things tbh, many of them quite common.
  16. I got a similar kit from that seller, just without the flaring tool as I already had one of those. In all honesty, the bending tool is a bit pants and you won't get some of the tight bends you need with that, but it does help with ensuring you don't pinch the pipe. The cunifer pipes are the best option imo but you will need more than the 25m per car. I got 25m and I have only done the rear axle pipework to the bias Vv, and don't have anywhere near enough to finish. It is hard pipe though so a better cutting tool, and a good quality flaring tool is best suited to the job unless you just go copper.
  17. Oooh, I get the Corrado tattooed lady with the bum following those links. I've not seen her in ages! :thumbleft:
  18. Ive sold to G60knight in the past. Tried checking old PMs but must have deleted them ages ago.
  19. Shocker, England go in front early, do bugger all for an hour, and manage to get a result! Usually though, they hold out until late and concede in the last 10 mins. Got to give em a tad of credit, they at least tried at the end to get a result which finally paid off. Can't help thinking though that it'll be the same old story this world cup though. As an England supporter, I'm obviously a glass half empty.............
  20. It's molded into the pulley. If you use a Stanley blade and follow it round the edge, it's only in by about .5 mm. If you shave the lip off, you can push it out the other side mate
  21. We've recently moved to quite a rural area, and as such we have embraced country life. Home baked bread thickly cut, and masses of cheese with local farm chutneys are a very regular occurrence. My waist line has been affected quite considerably.......
  22. You're either really bored, or you copy and pasted the lyrics from somewhere else! Sorry, I just can't get the enthusiasm going this year....
  23. Are they ok when the fogs aren't selected? A bad earth or a short somewhere in the lighting I'd imagine though, but depends if its only when the fog switch is on if its the lights or fogs...
  24. I don't think a new gearbox mount will make any difference to the drive or your snatching. If its passed the MOT then it should be perfectly fine, though I'm not entirely sure what it could be. I'm sure Stealth will be able to advise on everything you mention though. Just be careful the bill doesn't start running away with you!
  25. Great game! De Gea had a mare though! :bonk:
