  1. Aqua (I think) on Borbet A's on the A38 around Ivybridge today at around 1pm. Was trying to wave but you seemed to be having a bit of fun with a CTR FN2! :D
  2. Gear linkage adjustment. Double check you have the circlip in place on the pivot on the gear stick first, but here is a link to a good guide otherwise. (Nice one Kev!) http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?32297-gear-linkage-adjustment&p=415342&viewfull=1#post415342
  3. They are indeed hard to find. I waited around 18 months looking for a decent one going for less than £100. Even the average condition ones were £75+. I got lucky with an ebay purchase thankfully and although it does have one broken tab, I certainly can't complain for what I ended up paying for it the auction. I too use a ratchet with a 1/4 adapter and a posi drive bit. Its the only way without marking or breaking the surround.
  4. Yeah also known as the tailgate damper. It fits through from inside as Si has said, and the collar/nut screws on from the bottom of the boot/outside.
  5. They're not the correct part for ABS fitted Corrado. The correct part is the same as the Passat, which is still available but under a different part number. If you do a search you should find the part number and price as I bought some about 6 months ago. Edit: Part number is V3A0 501 639 - £4.42 each.
  6. The thing is Jim, there are hundreds of other radio stations and every other terrestrial channel offer an online viewing service too. What's the trade off, you have to listen to advertisements.

  8. They clip over and under the strip. You should be able to slide them a bit Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk
  9. Ah yeah, I know the parts you mean. One of mine has broken so has had to be bonded on too.

  11. You can get one side through heritage Rob
  12. N reg is more likely a Storm, as it fits the registration era that they were offered (April 95 - April 96). Mine was a late M plate (Feb 95) so this made me a little dubious in the first place. The Storm models were offered in Mystic Blue and Classic Green. The Mystic was unique to the Storm, but you could option Classic Green with Beige leather. If you managed to get hold of the badges (which were apparently easier to get hold of from the dealer than they should have been), then you could have easily turned it into a ringer. (like mine). Mine was originally registered to the supplying dealership, so I think they specced and badged it up to put in the showroom initially, but thats just me speculating obviously. Apparently Storms also had an orange coloured dipstick pull instead of red as well, though I can't confirm or deny that.
  13. Amazing work Rob! That front screen area looks a mess considering it was only sorted a few years ago! Glad its been done again now and to such a good standard by the look of it! :thumbleft:
  14. Thats because you pay £100+ for a loads of channels, TV, broadband, landline, and many other services they offer. You pay the BBC for 1 major channel and a couple of crap ones for about 11 quid a month! Its far from value for money and you're forced to pay it!
  15. I live on forces family accommodation at the moment, and having moved in last year, there were a few "final notices" to the householder as it had been unoccupied for about 9 months prior to us moving in. I don't think you could get away with it for too long to be honest
  16. Looks a really good job Rob, congrats mate! :thumbleft:

    Spammed?

  18. Yeah you want to keep draining until the fluid look clean at each corner. Don't forget to bleed clutch master and slave cylinders, and brake mc too. I also the abs pump to make sure all is OK. These cars are notoriously difficult to bleed unless you have a vacuum bleeder so I'd definitely get more than you think you'll need.
  19. Get yourself on detailingworld mate. Some good reviews on all the new products and you'll see what the latest big thing is. Some quite cheap and very good waxes around actually. Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk
  20. You shouldn't need Polish for a while if they're wet sanding it mate. Wax is very subjective, it depends how much you want to spend, with a toss up between gloss level and longevity
  21. You did good mate! :thumbleft: Looks a very accomplished workshop there mate, it'll be cracking when done no doubt!
  22. Rob, do you have a link to the Facebook page or website for the people that are doing your work? Sounds like they're doing a fine job!

  24. I agree. Whilst its right that MOST cars of 40 years or older are owned by enthusiasts, it means you can buy a rotted out wreck that requires a lot of restoration as a project, bung a bit of tax on it and drive it straight home. Whilst that may appease some, it will be dangerous for many!
  25. The thing is, some have probably seen that they were obsolete a while ago, and hasn't done their research before bidding. They are like rocking horse **** so those bidding are probably happy to pay a premium!
