I have a set. I'll get you some pics on Friday if that's ok. Been refurbished in the past and still in good condition. No kerbing on any of em, although you can see where a bit of corrosion has been under the paint. 2 have brand new never seen the road budget (Runway iirc) tyres, 2 have old tyres with tons of tread, though I'd recommend replacing due to age.

I was hoping he'd break the windscreen so I could get a replacement through the insurance, but no such luck! Lol

All my windows came out for paint. It was all done without any breakages by a pro and all rubbers were perfect so it can be done if the fitter knows what they're doinf

I haven't seen a tfsi in a Corrado yet, but fair enough if it's been done, I stand corrected. It's probably far more economical to buy a good mk4 or cupra R (depending on what lump/turbo you want). You'll have every part you need from the same car, and you can sell on what you don't and probably make more back, so a free conversion and money in the bank! I know a few that have managed to do just that!

The 1.8t has been done a lot and there is tons of info on it. Have a look at the definitive guide in the engine bay section for more info. Not sure if the tfsi has been done in this country at least, so info may be quite sparse and a hard undertaking for a first time engine swap

Congrats on your purchase, welcome to the forum! :thumbleft:

STU175's White G60. 22 years and still not finished!!!

Oh right. I've heard nothing but good reports other than this of their stuff. I'm running a drive shaft and CVs of theirs and so far been pretty good, although not much more mileage done than you admittedly. Glad you got a replacement out of them though. -

Where did you get the CV from Stu? -
Toad AI606 is pretty well thought of mate. Quite cheap now and a good reliable system. Quite a few on here have them fitted and I've not seen any reported problems

I do love a Satin Silver Rado.

Fraser, I sometimes get the coolant dash warning since fitting the new expansion tank (been on a while now actually). I just re-read your first post and you mentioned you'd fitted a new one too. I know there was a batch that were like this as a few have reported the same just before the final production run before they were discontinued. Thanks for the positive comments on my paint! In fairness, its not a great colour match to the original. More like a metallic now than a pearl I think. There are quite a few different shades of the same colour for some reason. I know others have encountered it with other colours, and lucky for some, body shops have consulted them on it. Unfortunately, mine didn't........

Hope it's gone to an enthusiastic owner and makes another appearance on here and on the circuit.

Yep, I got mine and replaced the lot with the same inner and outer diameter (cant remember the dimensions now) from Halfords. Less than £2 with a trade card, not a lot more without one!

I still have this issue. It's not bad, so 2 or 3 cranks when cold, probably 7 or 8 when warm, although it's fine for maybe 15 minutes after switching off, then there is about a 30 minute window where other happens. I've replaced the crank and temp sensor, had injectors ultrasonically cleaned, and the only other suggestions have been fpr and fitting a non return valve on the return line at the pump end. Thoughts are that fuel pressure could be down at that point.

Yeah it's the rear front Wishbone bush. I'm not sure if the R32/TT wishbones fit, but I have heard of people seam welding the standard ones so that's another option

I love this car. Not sure on the Nothelles tbh. I saw the ones on Goldies car and they looked superb, but I'm not sure it works so well with the colour......... Just my opinion mate. The LMs are my favourite wheel on a Corrado tbf, but I understand you want to put you mark on the car. :thumbleft:

Glad it was something simple mate. Grounded by speaker wire! Some people really shouldn't be allowed to work on cars unsupervised!
-
Where are you located? Dash shouldn't be a problem and not massively expensive, but thats really down to the fact they don't often discolour and crack, and people won't post them due to the size! Heater controls on the other hand are rare in genuinely good working order, and are VERY expensive on the second hand market. Good luck with your search though mate!

Front right still available through Classic parts https://www.vwheritage.com/1h0407152-wishbone-right-hand-corrado-vr6-mk3-golf I bought a pair last year and both were about £36 iirc so the genuine one has gone up in price slightly, but still pretty good value I think considering the standard bushes are in place. I got the Mayle one advertised on heritage as well, and if I'm honest, the quality is right up there with the original. Its just as weighty, but I obviously can't tell if the bushes will last as long as the OE one.

The guy that sells them is on the Golf GTI forum. If you join and pm him, you'll get 5% off. Not a great deal but every little helps!

I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.

Sounds like a dead battery. Worth trying a jump, and check power at the battery at idle and with all lights on when you get it running. May be just the battery or an alternator/wiring problem mate
-
SNR pretty much specialise in bearings so I'm surprised it's gone so soon tbh. I can't remember if I've got the fronts for mine yet but I have for the rear and they're meyle iirc. Hopefully they last as they don't technically need doing but I've got new disks, even though the ones that are on have tens of thousands of miles left in them.

I don't know about decking, but as above really it depends on the finish you want. Being outside I assume it doesn't need to be like glass. I hired a Belt Sander when doing my bedroom a few years back. Like anything there were different grades of on the belts. I can't remember what I went up to, but likely around 250 grit, which left a beautiful finish on the floor boards. I then matt varnished them and they still look amazing now. Its very quick with a belt sander so you'll likely only need it for a day, but the belts themselves can be quite expensive.
