  1. Walesy i still feel bad about that to this day  Aircon is nice although i spent today driving round with my windows down listening to the vr. Where are you working on your corrado?
  2. do you have 2 dailies? Good work on the clean. Double garage is also sweet ;)
  3. wow thats really nice, satin silver + geometric cloth recaros + bbs rs = perfect 8)
  4. Taking the curbing and polishing teh lips is straight forward, its the dents that will be difficult. How bad are they? Polishing a set of cast wheels is very different to polishing spun aluminium lips. imo you should be able to get a very good finish, just buy a polishing kit that fits on your drill of ebay. There loads of info on the net, do some research. If you have any specific questions drop me a pm. check this site for some info, http://www.caswellplating.com/buffs/buffman.htm also has a polishing forum. If you decide you dont have the time or its too much effort i can advise a place that will polish you lips for a reasonable amount.
  5. i think the worst thing you can do is have your car off the road for too long as its easy for the motivation to lapse! Been there my self :cuckoo:
  6. z3 m? I think its all about enjoying the corado for what it is, if you want something much faster then get another car :)
  7. always loved them mini works wheels, never seen any pics of them on a corrado but i think they would look good. but heres pics on a mk3 http://forum.cleaned.be/index.php?showtopic=28932&view=findpost&p=1336627

    195x 40 16

Which 195/40/16 did you try? theres a big difference between brands! as for 205/40/16 on 8's check my post here http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=78248&p=909443&hilit=205%2F40%2F16#p908144
  10. i think the only issue is going to be back spacing to clear the inner face of the wheels and the bolts.
  11. bad news and good news, when are you planning on getting the dbp one ready?
  12. cool, you cant get sp9000's in 195/40 they start at 205/40 in 17's. Defo go for the sp's as they have the best looking profile and sidewall :)
  13. i might be going to MIVW too, i was considering it before but i spent 2 days driving around Holland this week and would love to drive their in the vr and MIVW is the perfect excuse. I'll have my rs's back on by then so it would be a good opportunity to get some snaps next to yours :) What tyres are you planning on running on the 301's then?
  14. A 15mm spacer would not increase the offset it would reduce it to et9.
  15. thanks, i bought the ch's off a guy who had them on his vw sharan. They were made in very limited numbers in 17's and were not available for some time untill pw motorsport got a few sets in recently. Mine will be for sale as soon as i take them off next weekend :)
  16. now i know which rs's they are, they are the following fitment originally: RS065 8 x 15 24.0 112.00 5 57.0 Audi 100 Q,200 Q,Quattro I think the only way to get them to fit will be using spacers, but are you sure you need 15mm? It's possible to grind the calipers and carriers down 1-2mm to get a bit of extra clearance that way, then you could see if you could get away with 10mm spacers? The spacers that bolt to your hub only start in 20mm thickness upwards, the type you need would just use longer bolts that go through the wheel and the spacer and screw in to the hub directly. Using spacers with longer bolts is perfectly safe.
  17. the backs have very shallow spacing between the spokes and the mounting face, the only way to get them to clear is using spacers. Are they still the original specs outer lip and barrel size wise? as it mentions 6x15 et 24?
  18. my rs's used to catch on the pads, sounds weird but it was just on the edge of the pad facing the hub. You should also check that. Anyway post some pics and i'll compare the backs of the wheels to mine. What offset are your wheels?
  19. Depending on how much clearance you need, try a combination of grinding your caliper and carrier down a touch and using a 5mm spacer. With a 5mm spacer enough of your hub will protude so that the wheel can still locate hubcentric. The cheap universal spacers will be fine just make sure you have spigot rings so that the centre bore of your wheels is 57.1mm enabling it to locate centrally on your hub. Have you got any pics of the backs of your wheels?
  20. what rs's do you have? different rs's have different back spacing from the inside of the spokes to the mounting hub. What brakes are you running?
  21. i use these guys http://www.parcelmachine.co.uk/ parcel two tyres in a single package. The two packges will cost £18
  22. bad news about the damage, glad to hear it will be fixed up nicely. I like the wheels but not in that shade. What happened to the porsche rims?
  23. whats the finish on the 301's?
