  4. i was just comparing it to standard mk1 camber bolts are. The h&r's seem a better design, it would be interesting to have some feedback from someone who has them fitted.
  5. can anyone who uses them give some feedback? The design looks different to the mk1 golf style bolts, it seems the actual body of the bolt is eccentric rather than just the head.

I'll take a pic tommorow so you can get an idea of the kind of space i have.

  8. its definately not his battery, he has an optima yellow top and when the car was running yesterday it cranked the engine with ease.

  10. I think it should get slightly quieter as it cokes up. But im with you that i way prefer quiet exhausts, if it hadn't of gone rusty my oe exhaust suited me just fine.
  11. What offset are they? you want et35 on an 8 x 17 and you wont have any probs with the arches.

  13. its a long time since i messed around with kr's and 9a's but the heads are defo interchangeable. Apart from doing the seals etc i would change the tappets. WIth the injectors you should bridge your fuel pump and check the spray pattern. I think there was a post on here recently how to do it. Also check that the injectors dont weep as this affects hot starting. No need to change the injectors if you dont need to but if you do i think there are some mercedes brass injectors you can use that work out about £25 each. Defo change the seals on the injectors and the injector seats if they are broken.

  15. thats a shame, i think 205/40/16's is the size to go for. Ive got a set of 195/40/16 sp9000's to go on mine but i may well regret it when they are on. I should have the tyres mounted on the wheels on Sunday so i'll let you know how i get on.
  16. those falken 512's are narrow more like a 195/40/16 so i dont think they are reprasentative of the average 205/40/16. heres some 195/45/16's on an 8 but im not sure what the tyre is. The tyre brand and model makes a big difference as they vary so much within the same size. If you havent had a look check vortex, you'll get loads of info on there.
  17. I have the same dilema, theres loads of pics on vortex with all the different combos you have mentioned. Also try google as it brings up a few examples too ANyway heres 205/40's on an 8 x 16 although they are falken 512's which are known to be narrow
  18. I've had the same experiance, i bought some mats from vw last year and the quality is no where as good as the original set that came with the car! The writings come off and they are not as thick as the original ones so have started to lose their shape and are also wearing much faster. I'll be replacing them again at some point this year.

  22. you can redrill the original hubs to 5 x 112, you just need to add a re inforcement ring around the hub these are Furkz hubs but mine are done the same way
  23. cheers but the ones above are not ch's they're something else. I spotted a aqua blue corrado in th UD pics with them on. edit it was aqually satin silver and here it is
  24. how did you paint the windows in gold and what paint did you use? With those et's you need to find a way to mount the rear wheels straight to the car without adapters.
