    ET28??

if you got them that cheap they would be a bargain. You should double check the specs on them with the rs number.

    ET28??

All depends how much they go for, if you can get them reasonably cheap and you have the time and patience to source the parts to make them workable for your car the go for it. You can usually pick up 0.5" 34 bolt lips pretty cheap which will help with the offset but you just have to have the patience to wait for a set to come up at the right price. this guy did something similar and he started with low offset porsche fitment rs's http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=203208

    ET28??

Okay i misinterpreted your first post as reading that someone was selling you 10j D90's et23.Now i understand the question so partly my fault for skim reading the thread :) i take it they are splits if you plan on making the 10's in to 8's? If so are you going to do this by fitting 2" narrower lips? As this will increase the effective offset by 25mm to ET48 which would end up being ET23 after using 25mm adapters. But i think you would still have problems with the two wheels that are et28 as after 25mm adapters they will have a final offset of ET3. Which i personally think would look akward due to them sitting far out but it depends what you like and how low you run. I would personally advise against the wheels unless they are rs's in which case you might be able to play with basket and lip sizes to get them sitting right? And yep i like silver roses too not just because the look nice but they are forged so nice and light too. Also forged wheels polish up nicer than cast wheels if you ever go down that route. Only downsides with silver roses is the et's are mid 60's so you need to run huge adapters to get them to sit right.

    ET28??

All D90 ive ever seen have hight offsets around ET52 coupled with the fact there was never any 10inch wide d90's made i think the guy is not too clued up and has got the specs wrong.

    S3 wheels

i like the s3 wheels, think they would look sweet, but if your after 17's theres a guy on e38 selling the rs4 style wheels that came on the audi a2 for £120. I think they would look good and theyre genuine too
  6. glad you got it sorted. My luck is not so good.... I fitted my new voltage regulator but i think ive been sold a faulty one, at idle the voltage is 12v and only when i rev it does it reach 13.8v. So seems the regulators not doing its job properly
  7. Colin No Worries :) Mike - Your charging system seems fine. So does the voltage measured when the cars off, i would check to make sure the live connection to the starter is good and not corroded, It seems the solenoid in your starter is sticking as its struggling to get the juice and this could be because of excessive resistance caused by corroded terminals. On my car the dash light noticebly dim at idle but when the revs rise they go back to normal. I checked the voltage when running and it only reached the 13.8v level when the revs rise it does not make that at idle. Anyway that was a few months a go the problem seems to have got worse. a few days ago i was driving and the battery completely drained while driving so im pretty sure my regulator is gone. I'll report back after ive changed it. nmahi thanks for the offer, i managed to find someone local but its costing £30 for the regulator
  8. im sure they are the same between the bosch alternators, the valeo ones might be different. I just wanted to point out i had a 120 amp alternator in case they were different and somone used my part number.
  9. I stripped my alternator down today and the bosch part number for the voltage regulator is 1 197 311 23. This is for a 120 amp alternator so not sure if the 70amp or 90 amp are any different. I sourced a new one from a local alternator refurb place but using the bosch part number you can order it from any bosch dealer
  10. heres a link i found with info on rebuilding bosch alternators in general. http://www.rangerovers.net/repairdetails/electrical/boschaltrepair.htm
  11. I tried the search but seems its never been asked before.... Has anyone changed theres before? From what im aware its internal, is it easy to change and wheres the best place to get one from?
  12. looks much bettter, whats the offsets on your wheels? and what tyres are you using?
  13. The handbrake handle was from vw, think it was about £30. Toffee lol didnt know you got these interiors in Canada
  14. Red Stripe Geometric Black Cloth see this thread for more info http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=67629&p=785642&hilit=recaro+cloth#p785642
  15. The earliest recaros were grey with a red stripe and then the very later recaros were black geometric cloth these came in the middle and appear in both early and late style interiors.

    pain in the hide !!

The standard seats on a corrado are pretty good imo but the recaros are way better. Perfect driving position and support makes long journey all the more pleasant.

    8x17, offsets?

best thing to do is wait for the wheels to come and work out adapters from there. Here's my 8.5x17 et35 on the back of my vr running 215/35/17 tyres

    .

The best tyre combo to go for is 215/35/16 on the rear and 195/40/16 on the front in a dublop sp9000, They will give you the most clearance as seen here... same wheel combo as yours

are you going 9's all round?
  20. you could do as vr6 says but i guess you need a centre cap for it to stick over. btw theres two types of rh centre caps, chrome backround with white writing and white background with chrome writing. I had a mix of the two for some reason. Heres pics... looking at them makes me want zw1's again :cuckoo:
  21. genuine porsche ones dont fit, you need ones spefifically for rh/artec wheels When i had zw1's i used to want the caps with the rs logo but they were hard to find, But the ones with the porsche crest were easyily available, i used to come across them on germany ebay all the time. Im sure postage wont be an issue, only thing is the exchange rate wont do you any favours.
  22. they sell the porsche centre caps that fit zw1's on German ebay.
  23. WHere car you get blank hubs from? do you have a link by any chance?
  24. im not keen on those, but if you wanted them to fit without arch work do as ive done and redrill your hubs to 5 x 112. Then all merc and audi rims are a straight fit :)
  25. I was looking in to it and was trying to convince myself as my ch's clear brembos without the need for spacers. But i decided against it as i i'll have my rs's back on again soon and my particular model rs have hardly any clearance, they didnt even clear my 288' without grinding the carriers a touch! I dont want to space my rs's so if i did fit a set i'd have taken them off and sold them as soon as i take my ch's off. Decided i was too busy and it was too much bother to run big brakes for a few months. But im always tempted so if i spot a bargain somewhere who knows
