  1. German ebay is the way to go, ive personally had good experiances with felgenfuchs. Only thing is that prices are not so attractive at the moment due to the strength of the Euro against Sterling.

    Magnex parts

it was extortionate but i needed my exhaust on urgently at the time so had no option. On a plus point the exhaust does fit really well with the bracket compared to the temporary improvisation i was using at the time.

  7. ive disconneced my battery after i changed the lambda but there was no difference, car is smooth and is pulling really well just the economy that is still an ongoing issue. Ive never been able to get in to the basic settings in vag com, ive got another copy now so will give it a try and see if it makes make a difference.
  8. well i changed my lambda for a new genuine vag part and there has been no change to my fuel economy. But i still have not been able to do a proper ecu reset as i do not have a working version of vag com, pm me if anyon can help.
  9. it will look cool with the eta porsche twisty splits
  10. same thing happened to me last week bought a new lambda from vw, removed my cat to refit and discovered the connector was incorrect, i was supplied with a lambda with the rounded connector where as my car had a square connector. The round connector is used on later vr's and the squarer connector is used on early vr's. Mines a 94 and it has the square plug so changeover must be somewhere around then.
  11. can't give you any tips on removing the auto or the conversion for that matter but if you need my car for reference then no problem
  12. Kev, how many miles do you cover?

  16. all corrado vr's are obd1
  17. vw gave me the wrong lambda so will have to wait untill next week untill i get it sorted
  18. i changed my temp sensor and done an ecu reset and there is no chnage, im going to try and change my lambda tommorow.
  19. you could also try bleeding the caliper of the carriers, wedge a bit of wood so the pistin is held back. This can free some trapped air? if not and you can get it good enough to drive safely then take it to a garage with a vacuum tool, this will suck the fluid from the bleed nipple
  20. where in vag com are people able to read the lambda sensor values? do you need a registered copy of vag com to access this info? I bought a brand new lambda and blue temp sensor fromvw, should be fitting it over the weekend and i'll see if that makes a difference
  21. i would definately wedge the bias valve open, it has a tendancy to trap air unless you do. its on the near side attached to the rear beam
  22. Looking good, did you menzerna the whole car? i need to do mine again for the summer.
  23. ive found a low mileage rack of a 1998 Polo 16V 6N shape, its a 3 dr hatch, ay idea if the rack from this would be suitable? im goingto have a look on ETKA later
