Never had to touch the mechanicals and it was all original when I bought it with 100,000 on the clock the old 8v is pretty bomb proof if you change the oil regularly. Has been my daily driver for the last 11 years but I retired it this year so I could tinker with it without the pressure of needing it for the daily commute.
