  1. I know that the heater box itself is different and the fan for an AC car is a beefier item, but not sure about the actual matrix itself I'm afraid.
  2. From what I can remember on mine - the shelf had a cut out in it that was covered by a plastic plate which bulged down slightly and the shelf just wasn't very deep all the way across.
  3. so what does that prove? Beards, caravans, tweed jackets... it's all downhill from here  Edit: but yes, clearly it would be fine if it was pink.
  4. Depends on who you talk to  Personally, I'd go for VAG ones, but either way you're going to struggle to fit them yourself without the special tool.
  5. Sounds like a case of shagged rear axle bushes to me. Get 'em swapped and it'll feel far more planted :) Edit: What he said
  6. They're actually 6.5" sir :norty: They also aint cheap tho - I think they're about £130 a set... just for the enclosures. I'd certainly start with some sound deadening (Dynamat or similar) on the outer door skin and go from there.
  7. You can usually bag a bargain buying an ex-demo car that's only a few months old as it'll still be like new. However, I don't know about you, but I'd suspect demo cars (especially sports coup
  8. I'm not sure about the valvers, but the VR6 is a pretty free-flowing engine (both in and out) from the factory. I doubt an induction kit will do much at all to the torque, but it'll certainly sound like it's going quicker...
  9. Silver-grun... in Mk1 form? Storm guide If it is, rip his arm off! If it is actually Lhasa Green, then I suspect it'll be a Mk2 (pics of a Mk2 Goof in Lhasa Green)

    Horrible sound!

I'd wager it's a ceased calliper, but I'd get the wheel off and have a look...
  11. Mine seems to do the job just fine (good point tho - I should check to see if it needs re-oiling!) but if you over-oil them the excess oil ends up sticking to the MAF and can damage it.
  12. From what I understand the purpose of using nylon is that it is a slippery surface and thus doesn't need lubricating, but I might well be wrong.

    colour coding

If you're going for Concourse judging for an orginal car then any deviation from how it left the factory will lose you points.
  14. I just keep a Maglite Solitaire on my keyring...
  15. So am I blind, or did I miss the six-wheeled one?
  16. Interesting idea Kev, but I don't see how one could ever be more efficient than a mechanical one - if it's electric then you need to convert the mechanical energy to electricity (with some loss), then convert it back again (with some loss)... Anyway - wouldn't it just be a Prius?
  17. It has to be said that I'm not a big fan of the Mk2s, but the Mk1s are bloomin' gorgeous...even in brown
  18. Surely a line of blow would be more appropriate?
  19. You're thinking too small - just do away with that heavy engine and fill the engine bay with these instead.
  20. Is it just me, or do the new BMWs all seem to look like fish? The Z4 looks like a whale at the front and that thing looks like some kind of salmon on wheels.. Edit: Yes I'm aware that whales are mammals, not fish
  21. Having slammed my last Corrado into a very sturdy wooden power pylon at what must have been 45ish and walked away completely unscathed, I can say I wouldn't be too worried about things. Yes they're old cars, yes if you hit something too fast and/or at the wrong angle you're going to make a mess, but how many people have you heard of that have been killed or injured in a crash in their Corrado? Not that I'm recommending you do crash mind...
  22. I just picked my wheels up from them this morning - top job, nice guys and very reasonable prices too. The single-track roads to get there can be a bit 'interesting' in places tho...
  23. Mentalist! ...looks like there's lots of room for a stupidly sized turbo now tho :norty:
