Yeah, sorry - the albums don't work on the new version of the forum software...
-
It certainly is, and the only way of retro-fitting is by chopping!!![/quote:6cda8] Ah yeah sorry - that is a US-spec light.
-
Not sure what it could be on valvers, but essentially if the engine's turning over ok then you need to check that you've got fuel and a spark. Also moved to engine bay for you :)
-
It could be leaking out the top of the shocks - dry it out with some paper towel and see if it comes back. If it does, then it's time for new shocks :(
-
I really don't see the point at all... why not do the same thing to the engine, but drop it in a Westfield/Caterham/other then not only will you leave everything for dead in a straight line, but you'll also keep waayyyy ahead of them in the bendy bits too. Plus you won't look like a tit when people work out what it actually is either  I would like to point out at this stage that I did used to own a Corsa (the "sporty" 1.2 SXi  ) and it was crap

I really wouldn't bother with the US-spec one - it was a crappy after thought and fits badly. Plus if you're hacking the bodywork about, you're likely to get rust issues too...
-
ETKA 7 is the best one, failing that ETOS does the job too, albeit in a slightly less user-friendly manner. Of course you need to purchase these products at great expense and wouldn't at all dream of trying to download them from anywhere as that would be piracy.

I'm thinking you shouldn't because it'll only encourage more chavs into the VW scene. I'm sure if you asked Musicman he'd be able to help you out with some sexy pictures...?

Ok, so I may have been talking crap. The handbrake mech is on the calliper, but the bit that ceased on mine was the pins, which are part of the carrier. It is a schitt design tho.
-
Blue smoke is oil being burnt in the engine but not sure what the common culprits are on a G. Could be the charger though - when was the last time you had it rebuilt?
-
I think it's worth pointing out here that the handbrake mech is actually the carrier, not the calliper. So even though my C has new Mk4 callipers on it that work fine, the handbrake mech still locked up solid because it's on the old manky carrier. But new handbrake cables and a carrier rebuild kit (for the princely sum of £55 with no bastid discount from the local stealers) and it should all be good as new. A large can of penetrating oil and another of brake cleaner is also a worthwhile investment. And if it's proper ceased, a drift and a large hammer.

Wonder who set that up back in the day ;) As you said Dinkus, still a top bunch. Esp. Steve (boss), John & Ross Maybe they just think people called Dom are some kind of god and give them a discount automatically now? Shame I now live 2hrs away from there tho :(
-
Not sure you'd want to try that on any kind of regular basis tho :?

Have a look on the VAG-COM scanning and help thread - hopefully someone will be near you :)
-
Aye, then you get asked why it uses lost spark rather than sequential, plus you've got all the timing issues and getting your head round why it doesn't fire 1,2,3,4,5,6 either, but thought that'd be getting a bit complicated :)

They came in a 1.8, my mate has one, its faster than the valver. Then my other mate has a 200bhp red top in his, now that just makes me look silly Blimey, I had a 1.2 Corsa and that was scarey enough round any kind of corner or bump. God knows what something with silly power in must be like :?
-
He's got an R32 conversion, so it's sounding pretty likey :)

Bloody part timer

Yup, bugger all difference other than they're covered in cloth to match the front Recaro seats. It does look like it is the black geometric cloth tho, so it is right.
