1. Up for sale is the chargcooling setup I was using in my Nugget G60. It consists of the following bits: 1 x AVT/PWR 4" x 6" chargecooler (£275.00 new) 1 x AVT/PWR 11" aluminium chargecooling radiator (£189.99 new) 1x AVT/PWR aluminium chargecooler header tank (no longer available in the spec I have but a new one will cost you £39.99) 1 x BBM RSR outlet (£113.52 not including shipping or import tax) 1 x modified set of BBM G60 intercooler tubing (£252.25 not including shipping or import tax) 1 x Bosch chargecooling pump including plug and wiring(£109.19 new when I bought it) This is a bolt on solution with no cutting of panels etc involved for a G60 and I ran it reliably on my nugget for over 3 years (fitted in '09), it does show 3 years worth of use but a quick go over with some metal polish has bought up the shinny bits nicely. I did see a drop in boost pressure across the range thanks to the extra CFM (airflow) this set-up provided, however, the car was much more responsive to drive thanks to the extra air flow through the system. Another plus is that you will be able to fit the later gearbox shift weight with this modification as the BBM boost pipework does not obstruct the weight, this makes for a vastly improved 'feel' when changing gear. I can also provide (for an extra £75) a custom ECU MAP created by Dave formally of DG Autotech which was mapped for a stock G60 using a standard pulley and using this set-up - it went very well indeed and was keeping up with Jim's schricked and chipped VR6 through the gears, so despite the fact I never put the nugget on a rolling road session I am confident it was making 180bhp+. New this setup will cost you £980 just for the major parts, you will still need to pay shipping, import duty, buy some extra hose and then work out how to fit it all to the car. I am more than happy to provide instructions over the phone as to how to put it all together and I have a selection of photos that can be emailed as well. Given all of that I am after £500 posted, this chargecooler is good for 260bhp of output, not a figure that even heavily modified G60s tend to reach so you won't need to replace it! There is a new set of jubilee hose clips on order to replace the existing ones as they are grotty and I had to use some when refitting the original pipework to the G60.
2. I think they know what they are doing on the in-your-endo front.. :)
3. VW, it will cost you more in postage!
4. Rear VW badge from VW Heritage (its a classic parts item) Reflectors for headlights can be refurbished, do a search for dual metallising, or an early reflector will do as they didn't change the reflector design throughout the run of the Corrado. Indicator, best bet is the stealers for one of those in new condition :)

whats this from

3 different styles IIRC, very early cars have a different one again.
6. I was not aware Tempest's car is a US spec G60..
7. SWG supplied bit of kit IIRC, but ironicially only available for early cars: linky
8. Tax is cheap when it costs over £70 to fill the car up with fuel, a little over 3 tanks and your tax is paid for! Be a shame to get rid of her but parking up does not seem to do them any good in the long run.
9. As already mentioned the wiper motor cover is a Passat item, its from the 93-97 model year Passat range and I spotted it as a suitable donor part for a Corrado when I had my Passat. It does fit pretty well but you need to remove the small foam blocks and it will rub the underside of the bonnet a little, but it does tidy up the engine bay and when coupled with a mk2 Golf scuttle cover looks very OEM IMHO.
10. Good spot although 2 bar is a lot of puff for a G-lader to put out!
11. No drama, it all got sorted in the end and was an easy fix once I checked it. Although after putting the nugget back to factory spec boost plumbing I now understand why folks have issues with the selector tower, the gearbox balance weight fitted to the later Corrados than you can retrofit to the earlier cars does not fit a G60 with factory boost hoses - I fitted my balance weight when I fitted the BBM boost pipework which does give enough clearance. I have a new ECU chip sat on the desk to go in the car this afternoon, it is a better map but might need some tweaking, unfortunately the weather up here is terrible so its only going to be an warm up and idle check but as the engine knocks very badly during the warm up phase right now it should be very noticeable if this new map helps. New MAP is in, still running very rich at warm up but the car seems happier, not sure if my catch can had anything in it before hand but it was half full of gunk when I had finished - mostly full and some mositure from over the winter I suspect, just need to check CO and timing but hopefully the wideband log file that is on route to the 'ECU MAPs by post' tuner will mean some more progress.
12. Redfox, yes, they are stronger than the VR items as they were uprated for the Raylle.
13. 3 Corsa, are you available for weddings? :) The way you wrote your original post then it seemed like you were aiming to get the car below 1/4 of tank for some reason as you said you were driving around trying to get below that figure.
14. As I said, RHD ones don't fit, the pipes from the top of the heater matrix are handed depending on the side the steering wheel is fitted to. Glad you managed to find one on German ebay and £26 is cheap.
15. Fit some G60 ones, there are a lot tougher than the 6 cylinder ones.
16. Should be ok, no harm in throwing a bottle of octane booster in there just to help freshen it up though; 'Newer' fuels tends to have a higher bioethanol content which does degrade with age causing poor starting etc. Where did you get the 1/4 of tank figure from? The thing that makes fuel go bang and burn is fuel vapour, less fuel in the tank means more vapour is produced during temperature changes. Best bet is store it with a full tank, there is a built in system on both the VR and G60 to prevent tank vapour from venting directly to atmosphere.
17. Ah, the effect of crash regulations on car design. Just look how slab sided the front of most cars are now, pedestrian impact ratings are making some fuggly cars.
18. The red 'Supercharged' badges were supplied to UK dealers for them to affix to the G60s for use on the 1992 model year cars (read Jan 1992) and should have been positioned directly under the 'Corrado' script at the same height as the 'G60' badge. Owners could buy the 'Supercharged' badge and dealers were encouraged to sell those to exisiting owners, the same badge is also used on the G40 Polo. However, a lot of dealers didn't position them in the correct place hence the random location of these badges (info contained in Product Bulletin for Corrado, No. 4 dated Jan 1992). As for the rest of the badging, as already mentioned engine type (ie VR6, G60 etc) come in 2 types, red or brushed satin steel and all models, bar the 8v, have one of those badges on the front grille and one on the rear of the car under the 'Corrado' badge with the last digit of the engine type badge being directly under the 'o' of Corrado. The front badges clip onto the grille and the rear badges come with self adhesive backing. The 'Corrado' script badge comes in either a body coloured form (early models) or a brushed satin steel and are attached to the car via a number of plastic lugs that go into blue coloured grommets on the car - the blue grommets tend to fail and crack over time causing the boot to collect water. The front and rear 'VW' badges were only supplied in a chrome effect finish and the rear chrome badge is attached via the same method as the 'Corrado' script badges. Oh and the blue grommets make kids hyperactive if they eat them! (Probably)
19. Looks nice and straight, numberplate rings a bell.
20. Nice work, I prefer the Merzerna range of polishes - they tend not to clog the pad up and don't flick white spots of polish all over the place like the G3 compounds.
