  1. Heh, I thoughy the 32 messages about my times being beaten was more than just random chance! I will get logged on tonight and sort the club application. I did get a little too excited the first time the instrument cluster light up at night although they still have not fixed the damn clock! It is a good fun game with plenty of variety and a lot less constrained than FM 3/4 although I am not sure we need a league given the speed camera and rivals hi-jinx! I must confess to tweaking my Quattro up to get some decent speed camera times in as well.....
  2. Yeah I did, look for 'CFor'
  3. Balls. A polybush fitted in place of the rear 'doughnut' bush will wear out the wishbone causing an oval hole in the metal of the wishbone as there is no play in the polybush. As for evidence, there was a very good thread on VW Vortex a few years ago about this very subject (although I have lost the link I had) and various other folks who have run polybushes have, over time, run into the same issues. If you have a track day only car then polybushes are fine, for a fast road car in the UK don't bother. As for the 'feel' being better, yes it will be - you just replaced a worn out old bush with a brand new one, it could be the cheapest part on offer but it will still feel better than an old knackered one!
  4. There should be 2 plugs IIRC, they are both for the oil pressure sensor, the other stock gauge is the amps one and that just takes a feed from the fusebox.
  5. Short answer, no. Its for the additional instruments gauges that were an optional extra the live in the centre console. ---------- Post added at 1:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 1:22 PM ---------- Short answer, no. 6. And they will destroy your wishbone over time.
  7. Only in relation to the reducing number of Corrados on the road, back in 2007 there were around 4850 Corrados either on the road or SORN in the UK, as of 2012 that number stands at around 2700 on the road so with a good few parked up in storage and folks using them less for daily commuting there will be a drop off. The section of the forum that is dying is performance tuning, the car is getting too old and there are faster, newer cheaper things to play around with now. But that's just the way of things with classic cars...
  8. Got a copy sat on my desk right now although been a bit busy playing xcom instead.
  9. Idle speed should by 800 rpm on a G60 but you need to tweak the CO at the same time as well as making sure you are in the correct ECU setting mode prior to doing either.
  10. Almost, the non return valve is set to a higher pressure to try to keep more oil in the charger when the engine is switched off but its only around .5 of a PSI IIRC. 16v filter is the best bet as all of other filters that suppliers specify as suitable for G60 have always just been mk 2 items.

    G60 exhaust

You will find that Corrados only have 3 boxes including the CAT if fitted, on non CAT cars the CAT pipe is replaced with a silenced pipe instead.
  12. Nah the Fondmetals are gone, on a set of Sebrings right now. It still needs an MOT but aside from that...
  13. and the alternative is to put some other nobbers in who continued to dig the hole in the first place? We would be in the same position in Greece and Spain by now if Labour were still in power so you would even worse off. Providing the French as an example of decent politics is just mental, home of the country that doesn't contribute to the EU because they invented it FFS, refusing to abide by any court decision if they didn't want to, home of the head of the IMF who was bent as a nine bob note etc etc etc. Whilst I agree that shareholder workers is not a great idea at all for a lot of folks it does work very well in John Lewis' case. As for welfare reform it never goes far enough, we should do what they do in New Zeland and instead of money you get clothing and food vouchers - you then don't get to buy Sky, internets, a mobile etc on the taxpayer.. I hate all politicians equally but Ed Ball's solution to the current problem is stupid, fix a lack of growth and cash by borrowing more money that we can't afford to pay the interest on right now. I think we should have Boris in charge, if only for the shets and giggles that he would cause.
  14. Awesome I should be able to charge at least £50 for the 3 x brand new sets I have then..
  15. I will still take the block and any pics of the standalone oil feed?

Be looking for 2k once MOT'd
  17. That would work and the shape of the 'foliage cover' should mean you can get a good seal on it, other option is cooker hood/extractor filter element cut to size. As the main purpose of this would be to keep the bits of leaf out of the blower etc then even a thin piece of filter paper from say a coffee machine would do the job without as much reduction in air flow from the fan.

Yes although it needs an MOT..
  19. Which is designed to run with a pollen filter! I don't know but I suspect that replacing all the foam seals in the ducting and heaterbox will help no end with improving the airflow through the cabin. I still don't know if the laterally mounted unit used in later cars was done for more blower efficiency or to stop any ingested water and moisture from destorying the electric motor - bit of both I suspect..
  20. 90 amp was standard for UK models. I think the aircon models got the 120 amp version or it could be specified by the buyer at the time of sale.
  21. Jetex don't make them anymore. It does stop gunge building up around the heater matrix and making the car smell bad as well as keeping the screen cleaner as already mentioned - it also keeps the bits of leaf out of the blower when you whack it up to full! Only downside is reduced airflow in the cabin area..
  22. I thought you did. I recall a mates mum retired a few years back and because she had always worked part time was not going to get a full state pension, she was told at the time that if she had done no work at all she would have been entitled to a full state pension!
