That is one nice looking example. Should sell itself in that condition. GLWS π

I don't believe an aftermarket immobilizer would show up on VCDS as it has been stuck on afterwards. It's always a good challenge sorting a non starter

Absolutely gorgeous mate. I darent ask what you have spent lately π€―. Well done in finding this stuff

I believe the yellow black cable is only used if you are lucky enough to have the VDO gauges as this is for the oil pressure sensor that would be fitted. The usual non starting suspects are a dodgy immobilizer ( what do you have) or possibly the ignition switch which is a ball-ache to change, but cheap enough and a reason for 'working then not'.... if nothing else has been touched Good luck anyway π

π€£π€£ Dont bring me into this π. So 350 is about 30A 450 is upto 38A What size fuse is protecting the circuit, is it the flat fuse link on the FCM. I would have to check the wiring diagram for cable sizes, although there are some big cables at the motor plug. Worth a dry run connecting to the wiring and linking out the sensors to make it run

ππ€£πtoo much thinking for me....check the bolt to see if it does fit in the engine hole for the dipstick. I'm sure my dipstick hole was oversized for the bolt!!!

Was a pleasure to open her up down the motorway. I'm sure the car appreciates it, even if it just reminds me of the niggly jobs I need to do π

Nice day expected tomorrow, so Karmann can come out for a spirited drive to take me to work. Cant wait π
-
Absolute quality information. I know i changed my motor a few years ago, but never looked into how far back it goes. Must check this π€

Good luck mate, I'm sure you will get a set. They are my favourite wheel, looking awesome on a Mk2 as on the corrado. they were 5 stud I'd have stuck some on my C π

Looking great π

Have you looked at the mobile franchise people, that claim they can clean and regenerate them? I only stumbled across them whilst looking at a carbon clean for the Corrado. They seem well worth a try and a garage near me does it. Worth checking reviews first on finding a reputable person and could save you £££££££££££s

Well done in taking on the roofing job, that is one I never fancied doing. I did a repair previously and the glue bled through so I feel your pain. Not a 2 minute removal in getting the roof lining out π±, keep us all posted

Looking great Martin π

A lovely thought, but out of my league at the moment π³

It will be remapped I'm sure, to make it run right. I just don't want to get carried away and end up with a set of cams in it too ππ Atleast not until I take the engine out

Oh I have those super expensive gaskets.... I have refurbed the whole unit, so just needs to be fitted. Unfortunately I like to 'have a go' and want to learn about the car as I go. Fitting it isnt a worry, but If she doesn't run right after fitting, I certainly will take it to Vince. I did the power run previously, so that I could do it again after the Schrick was fitted Just need to sort the front mount and bonnet cut first ππ
