  1. assuming the vast majority of that 2k mileage was spent on the mainland stretching its legs :)
  2. wow - looks superb - congratulations :)
  3. thanks for the kind offer Shaun!! When shall I send them ;)
  4. corozin and chazrad: do you both run front and rear arbs? Do you find the front works well? I ran both f+r on my prev g60 and it was superb, not tried on the vr yet though
  5. What would you recommend to get the initizl shine - do you mean similar to autoglym SRP? 5 years is very good! Cheers for the tip :) I need to get some for the indicator sections too. Did you just do the top half of the lights? Thanks for the help!
  6. Excellent stuff cheers :) Do you get a shiny finish on the lights without lacquer? Had read some had resulted in a matt finish. A polish and wax may get around this? I should have also asked what to avoid when cleaning/using other products in the car?
  7. I've heard some lacquer's eat into the savage tinting spray - what do people recommend to use to avoid this? Also is 800 grit the correct wet and dry paper to remove the labelling on the rear lights before spraying? thanks
  8. Orrrrr ..... they didn't think a G60 would actually make it through the whole show!!
  9. charger withdrawal symtoms Karl? why don't you reinstall?
  10. Having seen the car on both recently, the RS' work best. Lovely car...
  11. Few new pics - done loads to the car lately - mainly just trying to bring up the standard of the car. Although just moved somewhere with space and a garage so doing all the work is much easier now! - 301's are on their way, keeping rc's for winter - new leather on elec/heated recaros are coming - AC hopefully - rebuild is planned for winter - new techtonics exhaust, neuspeed short shift and 25mm rear arb waiting to be fitted - awaiting the gemini 3-6 kit - and some new paint in areas - other smaller updates; crazydaves brackets, new fittings around the engine bay, 50mm splitter etc Miss the grunt from the charger at times, have thought twice about it
  12. Best advice i can offer is to get the very best example available at the time - regardless of the distance you have to travel to get it - it will pay you back long term. Don't be fooled by a cheaper car that you can 'restore' over time - it's by far the most expensive and involved option. Take your time finding a car - youre right in saying there aren't very many around - and you will find 70% of whats on sale are tired examples that require thousands spent on them - everything on the cars can need fixed/replacing (thats not a joke!) - so don't rush and find one thats already been pampered. Therefore I'd add another 2-3k onto your budget - it may seem too much now - but in 2-3 years you'll be glad you spent another 2k on the car, not another 6k on receipts.
  13. would you mind listing the bushes and part numbers that youre fitting pls mate?
  14. http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/6000-self-fl ... p-213.html I've got one of the above to run off my alarm setup - fitted last night and its not as bright as I was hoping. When searching around for led's I found countless blue flashing ones, but very few red flashing ones - this being the one with the highest MCD rating at 6000. Can anyone point me towards another supplier? Thanks in advance
  15. did you notice that when you bought it?
  16. Was hoping it would be slightly more than that.. Its an idea I'm toying with at the moment as I've had feck all interest in my car, I'm moving overseas for work in July, I have no where to store the car. It needs to be worth it if I'm going to break it though.... fecking credit crunch. What price do you feel is about right?
  17. and thinking ..."she never went that far with me" :norty: May be a time when sloppy seconds isn't such a bad thing ;)
  18. hmm shouldnt have sold those RXs Vaughan!
