  1. i've had a look on their website - and can't find the right one - need one thats got a connector with about 1-2mm internal diameter. karl can you see anything in the book mate - thanks a lot for the help :)
  2. Fitting the SWG boost gauge - the t-piece that came with the gauge is the wrong diameter to fit to the vacuum pipe going to the back of the clocks. Does anyone know where to get another T-piece from please? Anywhere online?
  3. that looks absolutely gorgeous. where exactly is it?
  4. Got the car back - got a few thoughts and findings: OVERALL POWER: - Feels a good bit quicker than before - 203bhp at the flywheel, 195lbs/ft. My friends S3 was neck and neck. Another friends Elise gets away much quicker, by third I was catching up, given the distance - could pass with 4th. The torque in 2nd, 3rd and 4th now really is impressive - I am loving my G60. As said above, if the charger was ported, those figures would likely be different. SUSPENSION: - Very pleased with the Leda suspension, so much more controlled through the corners and soaks up the bumps very well. Feels well balanced. No crashing around like the horrible old setup. Need to start playing with the damping settings and seeing whats best. I could probably go stiffer springs and am keen to try a set of Eibach arbs. Bushes are (as before) new OEM items and will stay that way for now. OIL COOLER - Under hard driving oil temperatures now don't go over 104degrees with the Mocal unit. Previously I used to see anything up to 130degrees. With normal driving temperature stays around 94degrees. The original water/oil heater unit has been retained so oil temp rises and is then controlled via the thermostat. BRAKING: - This I feel lets the car down - I really don't think the standard G60 brakes cut it - they're not sharp enough and don't feel in balance with the power available. So this with the above handling touches have to be next inline. I can't see how I'll ever stretch to the AP kit I so badly want. But we'll see how saving goes. FUELLING: - I have checked the plugs and they seem to be a nice tan colour. The exhaust also has a light brown dust and not tons of black dust. So its doesn't appear to be overfuelling - but the MFA mpg is crazy - I'm getting readings as low as 18.5mpg... Could it be down to the car sitting off the road for 11 months and the MFA needing reset? Any thoughts? Perhaps something could be disconnected by accident - any suggestions? GAUGES: - SWG pod and gauge fitted - just need to plumb and wire it in now. Hopefully have the Audi needles in soon. After a very hard day out - shes resting :) Any comments and/or help as always appreciated...
  5. LOL! going to try these 16" borbets for a while. always ran 15"s though so it'll be an interesting comparison. you'd probably need to find out what they are first though!
  6. all good. my borbets are probably same weight as your old ones. reckon you'll keep em on now?
  7. are those wheels quite light do you know? hard to find out without knowing what they are - but not sure if you remember when putting them on if you noticed them being light
  8. the tyre profile doesn't look tractor-ish either - i always thought when i had the 15" rz's on they looked daft due to too much tyre. IF you do find out what they post up here if you wouldn't mind :)
  9. lol :) I'm gonna have to watch it to check! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQVLFn2PTzY 2.21 in and there's the immortal words  haha! Genius.
  10. I have to say - i really like those wheels on your car! something about aqua blue corrados on dark wheels. are they 15" solitudes? i'd sell the borbets personally. the all red lights look a lot better too. are these spray tinted? looks really well :)
  11. urgh get that bonnet bra off! why do people put those things on - they're hideous! otherwise - i think this corrado is fantastic - hat off to you mate :)
  12. heres some encouragement  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWujc84MQ9Y (a little quiet but awesome scene) They just don't make movies like this anymore... Hilarious watching it again. So... who on earth wants to talk about S3's now? ;)
  13. Blatently his best appearance on the screen. Can't beat the bit at the start where they're playing american football
  14. have you a pic with the new black wheels on? looks really good in the sig...
  15. its a laugh driving the old bangers eh! i've been driving an old citroen for a few months (i'm ashamed to say its actually about 10 now) and i've enjoyed driving something i don't give a monkeys about. it'll occasionally get a kick to close the door etc - its a source of never ending amusement
  16. I wouldn't be too interested in faffing with sourcing parts etc - if you can pay £30 for the lot and its a simple procedure for fitting - i'd rather just do that to be perfectly honest. also agree with the original poster on vortext - need to get rid of the green indicators and replace with red...

I'll post you my readings over the weekend once I get the car back :) Should have a graph to work from now...
  18. Will do - i'll post you them over the weekend once I get the car back :)
  19. Briefly had word back from Star and the go ahead to collect it - made 203bhp - torque not yet sure of - should have got the charger ported when it was last serviced - but happy with that. Want to know what its done to the torque however. I can see myself spending a lot on petrol this weekend  how much difference did people notice after porting the charger? (got a 68mm pulley)
  20. To be honest - sometimes its best to cut your losses and be rid of the problem items before you get too stressed over it. The heart attack isn't worth it! I'd say give them back, withdraw the money and be done with it. Annoying I know, had the same with me - but best to be rid and move on. Good luck fella.
  21. I'll too have that kit if its possible - Karl are you happy being our contact? :) If not, I'll also PM him and find a price.
  22. I'll get a run around hatchback probably and the elise
  23. i have those mk1 pipes - so expect that'll be the route taken. not too worried about the extra time to heat up - i'm positive I've read accounts of the heat exchanger failing and mixing water with the oil - clearly not a good thing.
