  1. Some of the claims are complete bull - the leads may/may not be ok. Stick with Beru ones ..

    Exhaust again

4stud, What model do you have ??
  3. Go for the 40mm drop springs. Most manufacturers supply the same set of springs for all 4 cyl Corrados. G60's weigh more & will sit lower. 60mm lowering springs will drop your car almost to the floor - so it'll look like mine .. :D The ride will be very bad with standard shockers - fit stiffer ones. Shorter shocker for G60's aren't available - std length is already short.
  4. That'll be because they won't have much use for RHD wiper blades ..
  5. Yawn - which standard issue part would that be then ??
  6. It's just so that the pages display properly in 1024x768 resoloution. Wide pictures distort the thread pages & also take ages to download for those people still on 56k connections. The pages load much faster if the piccys are thumbnailed.
  7. I'm buggered if I could get those 2 sump screws back on - I left them off & it doesn't leak..
  8. My usual run of events for anything that I buy is to discard the packaging, closely followed by the manual. Although, for some reason, I do still have the Corrado manual - just can't be bothered to read it ..
  9. Scirocco Scala 1.8i to a slightly tuned G60 .. :D
  10. Ahh - always wondered why my intermittent wipe worked at different speeds from one day to the next. Couldn't be bothered to RTFM but now I know - cheers Andi ..
  11. Disconnect the blue temp sensor while the engine is idling. No difference = knackered sensor If the vacuum pipe fits snugly over the outlet on the throttle body & on the ECU - it's the right diameter.
  12. Expensive mod but one that I (& many others) can fully reccomend. The Lupo GTI wipers are absoloutely first class. They'll even wipe the screen reliably at 120mph (so I've heard) .. Mine are now 2yrs (20k) old & still as good as new.
  13. Geez - took me a full day, trying to remove the 2 sump screws next to the gearbox .. If I ever have to remove & refit my sump again - I'll gladly pay somebody else to do it.
  14. sciroccotune, It's the arms m8 - they don't apply enough pressure on the widscreen. It's a known problem with all Corrados.
  15. I assume you've checked the oil level ?? What oil & grade are you using ?? What model Corrado do you have ?? Maybe worth changing the oil pressure switch - could be faulty.
  16. Not sure about the external pumps but the single in-tank type (as fitted to G60's and VR6's) run at 4bar pressure.
  17. Dr Forinor, 10 years is the servicable lifespan that I would give any rubber suspension component. You are quite correct in your suspicions - rubber deteriorates with age as well as mileage. My car's now 13 years old & last year I replaced ALL rubber suspension parts. As I'm a bit anal when it comes to things like this - I also replaced the front wishbones, ball joints, all 4 CV joints, etc. The only thing I have left is the rear axle bushes - these are being replaced next week. My car now handles fairly well - with the exception of the back end - new rear axle bushes will sort that. _leon_ - If your renewing complete wishbones, with the bushes already fitted - maybe 30-45 mins each side. Ball joints are a different "kettle of fish" - I had to remove the whole front stub axle assys to get my old ones out - what a pain in the ass. If the old ones come out easily - maybe add another 15mins per side. After this work - your car will need a "laser 4 wheel alignment" to re-set the camber/tracking - usually around another £60 or so. Do not get the work done in a garage that doesn't have the neccessary laser alignment equipment. Rear axle bushes - no re-alignment neccessary.
  18. Yes - the bore is very important The 1m length combined with the bore = a specific internal volume. The bore is just as important as the length.
  19. Now that really would be a bargain ..
  20. Riley, The price is for that particular part number - our stock is mainly MTE but some Bosch ones are kicking around. At 510mm, the cable length is a little longer than the standard G60 sensor length of approx 360mm. If you want a Bosch sensor with the correct cable length (360mm) - I'll get a price for you tomorrow (may be a little more expensive than £49 + vat though). As I said, we don't stock these but can get them direct from Bosch. Unfortunately, the throttle body gaskets are VAG only - from memory, mine were about £5 for the pair.
  21. G60 con-rods are strong as fcuk - no problems there ..
  22. Both of the exhaust valves in view have hit the pistons .. :( Just had another look - both of the inlet's have too .. There appears to be an imprint of the piston crown on all 4 valves.
  23. olly elworthy, SNS chip - mapped by Daz & Liam (G-Werks/Pitstop). Car's approx 210bhp & still nowhere near it's full potential - gonna get Daz to sort the mapping properly once I've fitted the front mount cooler. Check the link in my sig for full spec .. :D
  24. Right then - GSF part number 93031 should fit G60's. Comes complete with cable & plug, the wiring is approx 510mm long from the end of the plug to where the wires go into the sensor. From memory - this should be about the right length. Stock here is MTE, although some of our branches may have stock of the Bosch ones - under the same part number. Retail is £49.00 + vat
  25. Henny, We keep the sensors in stock, in a variety of cable lengths - I'm just gonna go measure the cable lengths that we have & re-post the part numbers ..
