  1. Sounds to me like the alarm fitter has either disconnected a wire by accident or just forgotten to re-connect something.
  2. I used to have a white Scala 1.8i - great car.
  3. Sensor is usually in the RHF brake cooling duct.

That'll be because your exhaust emmissions make your car look like it's been seriously well tuned. :D
  5. Use "diesel injector blanking plugs". They're little rubber pipes about 3/4 inch long - blocked at one end. They fit very tightly over the vacuum outlets that you need to block off. Available from most car/van parts outlets & motor factors.
  6. Well - I think my thoughts on Jabba are fairly well documented elsewhere on here. Although, credit where it's due, they have done a good job with the cyl head that I'm now running. I would go SNS everytime. Ohh, how true - I'd agree there.

    Next Step

I can fully recommend a well ported, big valve head - made a very big difference to my car .
  8. Wow - that engine is awesome ..

Could be worth checking the Lambda probe - won't be the initial cause but if all the excess heat has knackered it, the car will overfuel even more. Only time I've seen flames like that has been with a very high-lift cam. If the car still has a std cam, I still reckon one of the manifold gaskets is leaking. Does the car misfire or run lumpy on idle ?

Definitely too much unburned fuel getting in there ..

    What Plates?

GB plates everytime - look far better IMO

Either that or a leaking gasket - unburned fuel in the exhaust will only ignite if there's oxygen in there too. Could also be caused if the cam timing is out of sync with the crankshaft (car wouldn't run very well) or with some "fast road" cams.
  13. I'd check the switch - next to the handbrake lever.
  14. There's a picture on here somewhere of a Corrado in the USA - red with black wheels - looks good.
  15. Pics are still there - maybe they went for a short time. Andi's moving the forum to a new server.
  16. Spoiler problem will be a bent/broken linkage or just needs a little lubrication. Remove the interior trim inside the tailgate to have a look. Will the pass window not go down with either window switch ?
  17. Do you have an immobiliser fitted ? Did the car start okay with the old switch - i.e. do you have a new fault that wasn't there before ?
  18. I wouldn't run it at all until you get the intermediate shaft sorted out. If it's not driving the oil pump properly, the engine will get hot very quickly & will also cause other damage.
  19. Mark_h, There's no in/out movement on mine - your's has way too much movement. Be careful 'cos the intermediate shaft also drives the oil pump.
  20. H8RRA, Beru supply OE plug leads to most German car manufacturers, including VAG group & Mercedes. Top quality leads - OE Mercedes leads usually last around 7-10 years before needing replacement. Best source is either your local VW dealer or GSF Carparts (where I work) - be sure to ask for Beru by name as we also stock other makes.
  21. First thing to do is to check & see if you have an external pump. Problem sounds like an electrical one but it is always possible that the fuel level sensor is knackered. Although they may appear to be attached, the fuel level sensor & pump are seperate items.
  22. Naa - some place in China - I can find out tomorrow if you like ?
  23. nice one - sounds like you should be okay - only reason I asked is that these lights are only being manufactured in LHD. They're being manufactured in the far-east by a company that we (GSF) use from time to time. InPro also buy their stock from there too. Looks like they're suppling the RHD adjusters with the lights.
  24. U get the headlight adjusters for the RHD conversion ??
