  1. Bigpantsbaby ( a member on here ) had a non-sunroof headlining for sale a while back, it might be worth contacting him to see if he's still got it, it could be a difficult bit to get hold of otherwise. The clutch problem sounds like it could be the master or slave cylinder - if you try the search function it should bring up quite a few suggestions for a fix, some as easy as checking that the dash undertrays are fitted properly in case the pedal is catching on one of them. The colour is dark green metalic as far as I can make out, you dont see too many around in this colour - and the alloys are called 'sebrings' which were fitted to all early 16v rados :dorky:
  2. You can buy deflectors that re-direct the beam, i'm not sure if you'll be able to get them out there though?
  3. I suppose if you're happy with the car and didn't pay over the odds (which it looks like you haven't) then put it down to experience - unfortunately there are quite alot of 'car sales executives' that like to ham things up and tell you what you want to hear just to get a sale, so you really do need to do your own research and judge the car on it's own merit, rather than get taken in by a sales pitch :)
  4. Price wise, according to the guide they appear to have the same value?
  5. http://www.virtual-showroom.co.uk/scrip ... essionid=0 It doesn't always have a value for the car/model you're looking for but give it a try, it looks like if it's a diesel it should be up for around £4k in excellent condition. EDIT - Sonicriot - wtf is a 'car sales executive' ?  - do you mean salesman?

    F**d Pumas

LOL, that old chestnut eh? I give it 6 months tops before you've got an ecotec valve and a lowering kit on it :camp: It looks like a minter anyway dude, and I bet it's a fair bit nippier than your old valver, enjoy 8) EDIT - Got any pics of the interior
  7. Thought i'd seen this one before - viewtopic.php?f=11&t=68967&p=801005&hilit=owed#p801005 Looks alot better already! :salute:

    Over-heating

  Come to think of it, my first 8v sat at around 90 and never went much above it as far as I remember - but my point is that i've had many dubs and none of them have sat dead on 90 other than those that were a bit newer, all the others (and there's been alot! :) ) have fluctuated between 90 and 110 at the highest point so I wouldn't panic if the highest it gets to is 100 and that's sat in traffic in the middle of June :) I've mentioned in previous threads, that i've had quite a few cars that 'run hot' but dont 'overheat' and have found that replacing the rad has sorted the problem out.

    Over-heating

I've never had a pre 2000 VW that's sat dead on 90deg tbh, only the more modern cars seem to manage that, every rado/polo/golf etc i've had has sat between 90 and 110 depending on how it's being driven and ambient temps etc. If it's getting to 100deg and the fans cutting in to bring it back down, in traffic at this time of year, I wouldn't see that as a problem?

    Over-heating

The temp can rise to 110deg in traffic before the 2nd stage of the fan kicks in on a valver, so if it's only getting as high as 100deg I really wouldn't be worried.

    Over-heating

100deg is absolutely fine, it should run up to 100deg before the fan works, which going by your description, is what is happening? Oh, and moving from 'exterior'
  12. Yep, all parts for your car are for a late model
  13. Doesn't 6 hours to change suspenders and a gearbox mount seem a tad excessive? Anyway, it certainly looks alot better and i'm sure it feels alot better to drive to! 8)
  14. It'll be a late spec mate, all VR6's were (allthough some very early VR6's had the early interior)
  15. Im pretty sure Jay Renshaws G60 ended up in a K reg black rado (think it was a 16v conversion) i
  16. If it's a tempory solution why not go for a set of new budget shocks/springs, you can get a decent Weitec kit for not much more than £200 which I expect would ride 10 times better than a 2nd hand FK kit.
  17. - I hate to say it but that's certainly not my experience of them! Finding one that hasn't been neglected or abused is becoming very difficult!
  18. If I was you i'd pull it out and clean out the channel it sits in, making sure that you get any moisture out as it's not uncommon to see rust appearing under that seal. You can stick it back in with some black sealant and jobs a goodun :) - it'll only need to be replaced if it's broken in some way. I can see you've managed to post a pic now, but here's a thread giving you a couple of hints anyway - viewtopic.php?f=24&t=65883
  19. This is true, i'm going to lock this thread at the moment, but if you log on 'corradosyncro' could you please contact one of the Mods. Cheers :)
  20. Well not really IMO, the Mk3 golf has a completely different interior to a MK2 and is in a completely different shell with a differnet seating postition etc etc, whereas the late rado is in the same car and has the same dashboard, but has updated switches/heater controlls(allthough troublesome!)/steering wheel/indicator stalks/instument cluster/newer seats etc etc So it's essentially the same thing but with a newer feel to it, it's not like it's been dulled down like the MK3. I suppose it's horses for courses, but I much prefer the later exterior and interior
  21. I prefer the KR, it feels much better to drive and as Dec says, it doesn't seem to have as many problems that are difficult to find, however if I had to have a valver i'd go for the 9A over the KR every time just for the fact that you get the later interior etc with them.
