Beast, each and every time...

To be fair, we're thinking of getting a Cherokee sometime in the future, but purely because we'll be towing horseboxes and a 4x4 is almost a necessity...!
-
lmao...

Missed the delivery of centre caps so gotta pick them up tomorrow, then gotta sort out adaptors and tyres, and then we shall see...! Cheers for the nice comments y'all...! 8)

Looking sweet! had been toying with the idea of Futuras but seeing as you're so close by I don't think i can now!

As for the clip, i believe it goes on the middle setting

Will 17 inch 7.5 wheels with a 33 offset fit ok on my VR6?
gradeAfailure replied to Leonard's topic in Exterior
It's exactly the same size and offset as RS301s - as long as you're not -100mm down or anything, you'll be fine... :) -
Any update on this...?
-
Yeah, you can't fault the quality of the workmanship, looks amazing!

I'm putting bets on some sort of cruise control setting thingy...
-
It wouldn't put me off if I knew that it had only been painted to cover up stonechips - if you can take some pics of it as it goes into the bodyshop and during paint to prove that it wasn't shunted then you'll be fine... :)

Looked alright on my (metallic) indian red pearl Passat... ;) works best if you keep the black trim and go for a colour/black scheme imo...

Ah well, we'll give it a crack on 20mm adaptors then, minimal hassle to get 25mm if need be... hmmm, thinking about it, I have a set of 4x100 Borbet As in the garage with 215/40-17s on them, so I can just stick one of those on and measure the clearance! Seeing as I forgot to measure when the 301s were on, and I've now taken the tyres off...

 @ dom... picked up the new rims yesterday, and they are minty-mint condition, damn near untouched - so very pleased. sorting out adaptors and tyres in the next week or so, so should have some pics before long... :)
-
Right, I'm going to briefly bring this back as I need to get adaptors ordered soon for my new rims - with 20mm adaptors the wheels will be 7.5x17" ET33 (exactly the same as RS301s, and 2mm less offset than the ET35 RCs and RXs), so I need to know that they'll clear coilovers, otherwise I'll have to get 25mm adaptors for the rear... Kev, you said Asim was running 301s on H&R coilovers, no? All coilovers run 2.5" springs, right?

Farecla G10 - rubbing/swirl removing compound... Looking very shiny indeed mate!

In the most awkward place - right underneath the car, obstructed by the PAS pump bracket, and a pain to change. Follow the radiator bottom hose to the engine and you'll see a black plastic housing that it goes to - that's the thermostat housing. If the bottom hose isn't getting hot, then it's the thermostat at fault. Get a VAG one as they're better than the GSF ones, though you might want to get a Neuspeed 80deg one from AwesomeGTI if you're going to be modding the engine.

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
gradeAfailure replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
Not to mine, but replaced my sis's air filter and re-routed the engine breather hose to a catch bottle to stop the filter getting coated in oil, replaced the fuel filter, and fitted clear in-pros and clear side repeaters... cue one happy sister! -
Part of the reason I chose these wheels is because they're very similar to the 18" Porsche splits as worn by Andre Kain's UPS rado, so I think they'll work styling-wise... If they don't, pfft, no hassle to get something else...! And as for the wheel fetish thing - I've always had it (even had to change the wheels on my Citroen ZX) - just that with the Passat, I found the perfect set immediately and knew that nothing else would suit her as well as the Borbets... My problem with the C now is that since having the 301s on, I won't put a cheap and heavy wheel on her, they have to be top quality and light... ;)

^^^^^^^^^^^^ what they all said... Do it Dave!

I know! though I knew these were 7.5 before i bid on them at least!
