  1. Dash switches use 12V bulbs as std, so you need 12V LEDs there. Window use std 1.87V LEDs. Early sunroof uses 1.87V LED with an inline resistor to cope on 12V - either use a std 1.87V LED again and re-use the resistor, or replace both with a 12V LED. Not sure on the late sunroof switches as I've not done one yet. Get them all from Maplins, not eBay... ;)
  2. He quoted me £2.5k for a full respray, with them doing all the prep-work, removing windows, bonnet, doors, etc, and in his words it would be "better than factory". Best thing is to call or email them and have a chat... :)
  3. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28603 ;)
  4. no news then...? quite interested to hear if there's any progress...
  5. cream seats and doorcards but with black carpet, plastics and dash looks best imo -the cream plastics and carpet is just too much i reckon!
  6. 205/40-17 tyres are cheap as chips these days, even for the good brands... :)
  7. Yup, the offset is critical... on a 4-stud, i would personally run either 7.5" with ET30 or 8" with ET25 - that should avoid rubbing on just a 40mm drop...
  8. get 215/40 tyres, but with ET15 on a VR you will not get them on without the arches being pulled/extended I'm afraid...
  9. you're not really gonna get any better a recommendation than that!
  10. see, see - it is the aqua blues that are targeted! that's it, i'm changing the colour of mine... ;)
  11. Nope, bugs me when people take things apart and don't put them back together properly. Most of the cowling and trim screws are the same as Passats from the same era, so get thee to a scrappy...
  12. I'm assuming that yours is a 4-stud from your username, so... 9x16" ET15 with 215/40-16 tyres will fit with coilover/non-coilover suspension, though you will have to either roll or trim back the rear arch return lips. If it's a late-body, they'll fit the fronts too. How many times do I have to repeat this?!
  13. yeah, if we come it'll be in the Audi - i'm pretty sick of Cs at the mo tbh...
  14. paint's cracked and it's pretty fubar'd - so new wing it is... just what i needed today ;)
  15. And another one... No idea when or who... Tom - should we start a (rather unfortunate) club? :(
  16. shit Tom, that sucks... :( hope you catch them and run em over...
  17. Yup, it should pass an MOT like that... If in doubt, speak to your local friendly MOT tester and see what they say... As for the rubbing, you should just be able to get the inner lips folded up to stop that from happening, like double-6s said - as long as the car isn't on the floor it should be enough. As for extending the arches, have a look in A20 LEE's gallery thread - he's has his arches professionally extended to cover his 9.5" rears... hopr this helps! :)
  18. As long as the tread of the tyre is contained within the arch then you'll be fine - my other half (scarlett) runs 9s all round, and whilst the wheels come past the arches when viewed from above, the tread is within the arch and so is legal...
  19. Yeah, Laura's running 9x16" ET15 so they should fit depending on width...
  20. the Schmidts, definitely...
  21. I thought most of the early cars had analogue odometers? Though the keep-fit windows aren't common! Laura spotted one of the F-plate press cars in Guildford recently, and they're the earliest ones afaik... 16v, care to confirm?
