  2. Once in 3rd and your rolling it should grip fine, i found with 32psi in the front tyres it was just right for grip, you just need to learn to feed the power in instead of burying the pedal. Strange like i say about the rev lounter though as it def worked. I dont think they cost too much about 50 are they.
  3. Well it will rev to 7k but the power is tailing off after 6k have a look on page 1 for the graph on mine. Did he say why its not working, he text me saying it was not but it def worked on mine, has he fit the rpm signal converter! Drop me a pm with your address mate i need to send you a few things. And turn the boost up for god sake haha, 3rd gear will get you to just short of 90 at the top of the rev, 1st 30ish, 2nd 60ish, 4th 125ish, 5th 160ish
  4. Glad your happy with it mate. Just give it a week with it as your scratching the surface with it right now, but how rapid is it on A roads even at 100 and floor it it just goes. I assume you never turned the boost down lol

  7. Have a word with James, he has a corrado he was going to synchro, he has the running gear from ex Elton Lawes Rallye, its not a full kit as far as i know but i think he has most of it still. Just leave it there for another month and get some more work done :D

Technically as you know he did build one ages ago, R32, Haldex and full leather oh and a supercharger bolted on, then he lost the plot and went totally mental with it, like it was not before considering the era it came from, and its still in a million pieces, hence he is still building it :lol:
  13. He runs 2.2 bar on the larger Owens/Jabba turbo with the NOS. It was 550ish before it went bang then the 2l and whatever else for the rebuild gave it the 650ish and same torque figure.

The seat ibiza 305mm 4 pots i had with ferodo 2500 pads and no abs could be scary at times and could catch you out if not careful or look at ap set ups, remember you need wheels with enough clearance for the caliper or spacers. I had a 2.75" exhaust that was straight through boxes, still had 3 on but was still loud as feck lol.

  16. No worries mate, your the star for buying it. How bad did he look on saturday? He was shut shop on monday and only came in to get the engine from me, said he was slightly better but i had the feeling he was going to be off a couple of days. I think i remembered everything but if not he wil;l let me know. Let me know how it all goes and wash your car dude lol.

Well i had a some bell end playing stupid gits once, he was in an EVO 340, straight line drag and it was even side by side till we got to the roundabout in the wet and he just seemingly did not slow down at all and fooked off round like it was a hot sticky day :D Go Impreza hunting they are always the best i found, you know the scenario, typical Impreza driver, he just thinks f'ing subaru im in quickest and best car in the world, you just go round them easily, the look on their faces is priceless. Its making me reminice now, shamefully there was the day the most sheddy looking 1.2 nova with the chavviest kid ever with baseball cap included that nailed me, 2.0 turbo and no weight all stripped out gets you a quick motor, i almost could keep up but then i did have full leather recaro, loads of ICE heavy car, you know the usual excuses. It also did 155mph 4 up too so should do more, you say your upgrading your brakes well you really need to upgrade what your upgrading to :D
  18. Surely as well as the same power to weight etc the other main point is the instant torque in any gear scenario will make it feel a hell of alot smoother and quicker.

If its in valet mode the siren will not go off when the battery is didconnected and reconnected even after 6 months, trust me i have done it loads of times, even if the siren internal battery is flat as the alarm itself knows it was put in valet mode. If its a Cat1 alarm 1 of the things it has to do is turn it out of valet when the ignition is turned off then on for Cat1 status, so just disconnect and reconnect the battery with the keys in your hand to be safe, but i have done it with them in the ignition but with the ignition on.

  21. As far as i know the coilpack engine is OBD11 and you can convert the OBD1 to 11 but its alot of work but as you say you can feel a difference.
  22. Not been an expert here but surely you need a return from the turbo back to the sump or am i been stupid or reading it wrong?

  24. I Was just going to say the same as pete, the seats only work so well because of the dash. Brilliant and genius.
