Hello mate, had issues with my phone at edition. Guess you don't want my metering head?
-
Sounds like a crap uprated loom, buy or make a better one, cut the old crap out and replace, taking care to insulate everything properly.

Fit goodridge hoses while you're at it too. If you have a post 1991 (I think) valver then calipers off a later G60 or a VR6 will be a straight swap, if you have an earlier car, then just early G60 calipers will go straight on. Otherwise you have to change a section of pipe, and the flexi pipes are a slightly different legnth. Good swap, I fitted them to my valver and have been pretty pleased with them. Fitted plain Brembo disks from GSF and EBC greenstuff pads. Not really into drilled/grooved disks, as it's just a road car, but would definitely look at uprated pads.

There was one at E38, in white. Looked ok, wanted to go and look round it a bit more but forgot...

Try driving a short distance with one pedal on the brake and one on the throttle (maybe in a car park), just to speed the bedding in process up.then press the pedal nice and hard a few times, then see what they are like... Pads and disks take a little while to settle down, I'd not be running off to throw money away just yet...
-
You girl, try braking a bit harder, the disks and pads probably just need bedding in properly...

Tonight I mostly filled it with 50.5l of fuel. I have driven 429 miles since I last filled it. I got 38.6mpg :) Plus the MFA said 35.4mpg.

Am I the only one cringing about the dents to the panels?

There's 2 hall senders Bood, The crank sensor mounted below the oil cooler, and the cam position sensor, which is in the dizzy (I think, could be wrong though) or in the endplate next to the coil pack on later cars

You need to remove the mech and pull the bot ot connects to out with pliers, then put the pin through, then feed it all back in to the door. I think. TBH didn't really read your post.

Clutch slave cylinder possibly, or maybe master. See if there is any fluid leaking out the bottom of the bell housing.

Depending on the age of the car, the auxilliary pump should run on if the coolant is above a certain temp, or should run on for 10 minutes. If yours is a late car with 3 fuses on the fan control unit, it will only run on above a certain temperature. Sounds like you have a cooling system problem causing the coolant loss though. Have a look in here....

Try shorting the plug on the gear selector tower to see if they come on... The connection under the gear lever cover is for power or VagCom.

I don't see why it's so special? It's shiny, and low, and that's about it... Steve Gooding's lovely Supercharged VR is up for well under that price.
-
The manifold temp sensor error could be that you've got it and the black temp sensor plugged in back to front.

I was going to suggest looking on ebay for a keyboard with all of the letters on it. -

I don't think they unreel if you reel them in too far...

Low fuel pressure? Knackered engine mount leading to wires being stretched?
-
That looks really nice from the front. Far better than the press shots I've seen.

Stats are some very funny items, Dom's one recently opened at 65 degrees, and there seemed nothing wrong with it visually.
-
You'd be looking at ~£100 for all the bits needed through GSF etc.

Kind of like a woman. Except the smiling part. Indeed. :)
